It works great for my application. My cricket has a 10.5 barrel and about 15" overall. It fits comfortably inside along with 2 boxes and my cleaning rod. I'm happy.

Needed a short case for my Henry Survival Rifle for when it is disassembled and components are stored in butt stock. It came with an additional top strap with buckle so I have 2 securing it on the case. When assembled, I unclip the bottom buckle and fold it out and have a handy carrying case for the rifle.Good quality for the price point!

Will hold a shotgun and some spare ammo cards. Mounted mine to my 3 day assault pack and holds up great.

I give this 5 stars because it is a "good" product for decent price.Pros:1) It is a versatile carrying solution for SHORT shotguns.2) There are plenty of ways to connect other pouches, items, and so on.3) Good for carry alone, or on a backpack.4) Very roomy scabbard.5) Easy to remove shotgun from scabbard w/o taking off scabbard (practice this!).6) Price.7) The camo model actually blends well into other camo that I wear.8) *Well made, but ...Cons:1) You cannot use this for long-barrel shotguns (not made for it so not really a con, but be aware).2) *Well made, but ... some snaps are weak, and all rings should be metal.3) Needs modifications to match which shotgun you use (not really a con, but be aware).4) Using supplied carry strap can cause the scabbard to "neck dive" because much of the weight of the shotgun is out of the scabbard making it top heavy. Watch out when you bend over.Instead of using the supplied carry strap, I modified a set of tree stand carry straps to act as backpack straps and it is now well balanced on my back for standalone carrying. This was easy due to the design of the scabbard - a hundred ways to connect stuff securely.I have now purchased two of these simply because it is versatile enough to be useful to firearms owners, and at a great price.

The padding is so thin so your shotgun would not stay in place, the shape would not stay as is so its like you put your weapon in a bag, waste of my time so i returned it

Very thin material. Not going to last with repeated use. Good for packing a firearm away but not much else.

Don't believe the previous purchaser who claimed this scabbard isn't lined and consequently gave it a 1-star rating! I've slightly altered the top end of this same model scabbard that I just purchased (to perfectly fit my AR-7 Explorer's custom-made collapsible-tube butt-stock) and there is undeniably a thin yet fairly firm white sealed-cell foam core between the heavy-duty nylon exterior of this scabbard and the thin, slippery interior nylon liner. No, the foam core doesn't make this scabbard actually STIFF! But it does provide a reasonable degree of protection against damage to firearms stored therein...and it does make the scabbard what I'd describe as "flexibly stiff." In other words, it doesn't easily fold like a single layer of cloth would fold. I like the fact that its design provides for quick, convenient length adjustment from about 28.5 inches down to about 23 inches, if desired, simply by folding up the bottom 5-inch section and securely buckling it in place. Oh! If you do a reasonable amount of Amazon.com comparison shopping (as I always do), you'll notice that this same item is being sold by many different retailers for a really wide-ranging variation of prices. I ordered it from the lowest-priced outlet I found...which was LESS than HALF the price of the highest-priced retailer I spotted selling the identical product! (I LOVE Amazon.com for their ability to offer this convenient, money-saving, comparison-pricing shopping feature!
