The listing states that the Duplicator does octave up and down. They flat out lie.IT DOES NOT DO OCTAVE UP!!Customer support is very slow, and is poor. The support people have a condescending attitude.I may yet return this pedal...UPDATE: I returned the pedal hoping it was a dud. The new pedal still does not do octave up as it claims it does. After a firmware update it still does not do octave up! I feel cheated. TC Helicon is not an honest company.

Way too robotic and noisy, if you’re any good I’d avoid this pedal

This item was probably the same one that another buyer sent back because all the noise.. I did the same thing and I have ordered another one from another seller. Usually, it takes about 4 to 6 weeks for delivery..I have received the noisy one in 2 days....it was a return (Box Open)

I wanted to like this pedal but I could shake off the High pitch humming (tried different cables, adapters, batteries) and nothing worked. In a very loud setting, the noise isn't too bad, but becomes very noticeable when playing through headphones. The Doubling effect was OK (not great and the octave thing is a joke), the pitch corrector better an the Reverb also OK.The pedal is sturdy and seems durable, but for the price I expect better quality in sound.

Great sound quality. Perfect for controlling the sound of your live vocal. Duplication and compression are both quite impressive. Chews through batteries though...throws you a bit, because all the lights are all still on, but it won't function until it gets some new juice.

Not sure what the one reviewer expected. This will not turn a bad singer into virtuoso. The reverb is excellent. The "doubling" is not there to be a duet. What it does is thicken a voice. .. and the pitch correction is subtle as well. It's not hard tuning like "the Cher" song. It's just a bit of correction to keep things clean. If you are a decent, but not awesome singer or if you have a bit of thinness to your voice.. this product is great for adding some depth an increasing precision. If it boosts your confidence some.. you'll sing better as well. There is not magic wand to fix bad singing. It takes work and dedication like any instrument. This can however assist and add some consistency to your vocals.

I wanted to try one of these but with it being so new and almost no reviews, I took a leap of faith based on the performance of my Mic Mechanic 1. (A truly great piece gear thats worth far more than the asking price)Me? Been playing a long time but I'm not a pro. Let's say "experienced amature" lol.The main difference between this and the Mic Mechanic is that you have doubling instead of delay. Both have the pitch correction, tone enhancement and reverb so check out the info and reviews on the MM for more depth on those features. The foot switch on this unit turns the doubling on and off so you can toggle that feature without losing the tone, reverb or pitch correction. Pretty cool. It does a tight, loose, and octave for the second voice. They can obviously sound artificial if overused, but set low you can sound well produced. Much like a recording of yourself which may take a bit of getting used to at first. I like "loose" setting on the lower end of it's scale. However, I don't use the feature as much as I thought I would.I play in an acoustic duet and with a band as well. The Mic Mechanic version 1 stays with my pedal board I use in the band setting. The duplicator is being used in the acoustic duet setting where delay could be a bit more out of place. That being said, if you had to get one unit and can't decide, it's down to doubling vs. delay. Both my units sound great and definitely add a more polished, professional sound. Also worth noting: This unit as well as the new mic mechanic 2 do not come with power supplies like mic mechanic 1. Also, they can take AA batteries and run on a 9 volt power supply so you can use whatever you use now for your other guitar oriented effects. (One spot, boss etc.) MM 1 came with a 12 volt power supply and had no provision for batteries. The new units also set the Mic gain automatically so there is no adjustment on the side of the unit like the older MM 1.
