Great product does what it says and I have a some other brands to compare it to. But the only minus is that this design needs 2 mic cables to work, where as the other design you only need one.

I have a lower volume condenser mic and Scarlett interface, so was looking forward to adding this product for some added gain without compromising sound. I read some positive reviews so was optimistic. The product I received doesn’t work at all. No signal comes through at all (I checked that my XLR cables work - independently of this unit they work great). I guess I was given a dud product but unfortunately I’m passed the return date.

I gave it the ol' "How can I make it fail" test and it passed, no issues. Provide phantom power to the CM-1 and it comes alive to jive Clive 25... db that is, of clean, noise free gain for your ribbon and other low output dynamic mics. Nice price.

I'm not an audio engineer by any means but this solved every issue I had with my microphone (SM58) sounding quiet without introducing noticeable noise. Would buy again if the quality stands over the years.

Edit: This booster requires +48V phantom power from your audio interface to work. I’ve seen a couple reviews saying it didn’t work out of box, and mine didn’t either until I activated phantom power from my UM2. Without the +48V power, your mic will still work, but audio from it will be unchanged or possibly even a little quieter because of the added impedance (I assume. I’m not an audio expert lol)I’m using an Audio Technica AT2040 and Behringer UM2 usb interface. Before getting the CM-1, I had to set the UM2’s gain to 80 or 90 percent to reach good vocal levels. It wasn’t terrible, but I found the UM2 would introduce some static/noise at these gain levels and trying to remove it in post would result in robotic sounding vocals. With the CM-1 added in-line, I can now keep the gain well below 50% and get usable audio without the noise. There is still some noise, probably because I’m using cheap xlr cables, but with the booster is much easier and cleaner to remove in post. If you don’t want to invest in an expensive interface for your dynamic mic, this booster will get you much cleaner audio for a fraction of the price. Would recommend 👍🏼

Perfect for home studios where you use a dynamic mic but don't want to break the bank.

There is absolutely nothing I dislike about this inline preamp. It appears and feels very solid. I'm not plugging and unplugging it so I can't speak on plug issues, I just plugged it in and threw it behind my Tascam and turned on phantom power. I'm using it between an SM7B and Tascam DR60, which has great preamps but I had to crank it wide open for the 7B. With this Klark I'm now running at 1:00. I am very happy with it. I have the capacity to run phantom individually on each channel, but if you're running a condenser and an SM7B and your recorder, interface (whatever) has 1 switch for both channels, you can turn phantom on, use this with an SM7B and a condenser on the other channel and Bob's your uncle.Depending on our application mic amps like this are soon to be outdated with a lot of interfaces/recorders having clean gain of 70db, so you won't need these anymore. So why waste money on a cloudlifter? YMMV

I recently upgraded my audio setup from Maono AU A04 and I am using this Mic booster with Rode Procaster and Focusrite Scarlett Solo and I can say that for the price it is similar to Cloud Lifter, I haven't tried CL but from the YouTube reviews I have noticed that there is not much of a difference, the product is amazing and provides clean gain to my mic. If you are looking for YouTube and podcasts, you can definitely go with it, because at the end of the day, your actual audio will be compressed by YouTube so it doesn't make sense to buy Cloudlifter for double price. If available I would say go with Triton Fethead or SE Dynamite as with those you can eliminate the need for aditional cable. The only con is it costed 6,628 while the original price is around 2,300 even after adding 30% excise and around 1,000 rupees for shipment, the seller made a profit of 2,900.Is it worth the price? YesAre other alternatives easily available? NoAny other product at this price range? Abolutely No
