My newly planted dragon fruit cactus needed some TLC to get established before the intense heat of the Southwest. These small clay ollas provide a slow drip to the part of the plant under the soil. The bowl is small so capacity is low but it does slowly dispense the water. I'm hoping to leave my gardens over a long weekend without worrying about my young plants being dry for too long.

Super cute watering spikes! Super easy to refill too, with the big opening on top.The different colors make them easy to match your plant pots. (Green, yellow, pink and orange).I typically fill them once a week. My plants are all healthy and thriving. I’ve had no sick plants or casualties while using these.I’ve got nothing bad to say about them. I’d definitely buy them again. I’d love to see them in other colors too!!They fit best in 3.5” plants and up. Smaller plants may be “overwhelmed” with the size.

I recently added the Terracotta Watering Spike Set to my gardening supplies, and it has truly simplified my plant care routine. This set includes self-watering spikes made from terracotta, designed to automatically provide moisture to my indoor plants. With a busy schedule that often keeps me away from home, I was eager to find a reliable solution for maintaining healthy plants during those times. One of the aspects I particularly liked about these watering spikes is their natural terracotta material. The porous nature of terracotta allows for even distribution of water, ensuring that plants receive consistent moisture without the risk of overwatering. I've noticed that my potted plants have thrived since using these spikes, as they seem to maintain optimal hydration, especially during warmer days. The design is also pleasing to the eye, blending seamlessly into my plant decor without being obtrusive.Setting up the spikes was a straightforward process; simply fill a water bottle, screw it onto the spike, and insert it into the soil. It takes minimal effort to adjust their placement in my pots, making it easy to tailor to the needs of my various plants. However, one concern is that the spikes may not release water as effectively in extremely dry soil, which can occasionally lead to inconsistent watering if the soil doesn’t receive moisture at the start. I found that pre-soaking the soil before insertion helps to mitigate this issue. Also, the spikes might not work as well in smaller pots where space is limited, making it essential to consider the size of my plant pots when using them. The Terracotta Watering Spike Set has been a practical and aesthetically pleasing addition to my plant care arsenal. With their natural material and simplicity of use, they provide a great solution for maintaining hydration while I’m away. While there are some limitations regarding soil conditions and pot sizes, I highly recommend these watering spikes to anyone looking for a low-maintenance way to care for their plants, especially during vacations or busy periods.

I have A LOT of plants so any help I can get to help them thrive, I will get it lol. I love these spikes. They hold a good amount of water and they're so dang cute sitting in the pot. This came in a set of 4 in different colors. You soak the spike for about 15 minutes in water, water the soil and then insert the spike into the soil and fill the pot with water. As the soil dries out, it will leach water from the spike.

Very good terra-cotta watering globes. These allow the water to slowly seep into the soil of your plant. The colors are bright and cheery. I like the globe size and style of them. They easily push into the soil of your plants. Great quality and a good bargain. They add a nice touch to my plants.
