デスクトップPCの買い替え時にはモニターは替えませんので新しいPCも古いモニターに接続しますが、古くはd-sub15ピン→DVI→HDMIと変遷し、昨今はディスプレイポートが主役。モニターも古いとHDMIすら装備しないものもあり、PCとの接続に際してアダプタを噛ませたり、今回のように両者に装備されているポートに直接繋げられるものをその都度用意したりしています。今回も先日更新したデスクトップPCと、HDMIこそ付いてはいますが古いモニターを接続する上で引退するPCとのデータのやり取りや、モニター故障時の代替接続をするときなど、もっと古くてDVIとd-subしか持たないモニターに置き換わることもあると考えてこのケーブルを買い求めました。ケーブルはナイロンの編組で細めですが、柔軟性については少し硬い印象です。セットしちゃうと見えなくなる部分ですが、コネクタ部分がくすんだ緑色という点もお気に入りです。
