This air mattress has a nice built in footpump that works well. That will save on packing space. The material feels rugged enough and I do like the pattern once inflated which should help prevent bedding or sleeping bags from sliding one way or the other (a problem I find with the ribbed vertical style sleeping pads). It feels very comfortable and while it's not exactly the most compact one I've seen, it's a lot smaller than some others. I think this becomes a balance of the strength of the material and smaller footprint. This one is somewhere in the middle, but it is nowhere near as big as the ones from department stores. It does have buttons to snap multiple together but I would be worried that the pressure could tear the material if they get pulled apart too much so I think using them solo might work better in that case.

This mat is small & compact making it easy to transport. It is easy to inflate & no pump needed. It deflates well. Material feels thick enough to not rip or get holes easily. It feels like it would be easy to wash if needed.
