This is made from premium neoprene, it promises unmatched comfort by keeping your head dry and warm, allowing for more freedom of movement in the water. The built-in visor is great for shielding against sunlight, and the neoprene material offers UV protection and defends against sea lice, jellyfish, and coral. The hood does provide sufficient warmth with its quick-drying inner fabric, making it suitable even for cold winter activities. The construction is durable, with high elasticity and strong seams that reduce water absorption and minimize the risk of tearing. However, I did find the hood to be quite stiff and hard to put on. Despite its many benefits, the difficulty in getting it on and off can be a bit frustrating. It does come in a range of sizes for both men and women, so finding the right fit is essential. If you're willing to deal with the stiffness for the added warmth and protection, it could be a good choice. Just be prepared for a bit of a struggle when putting it on.

This is a solid wetsuit hood. I went off the size chart and it fits well, albeit tight, but that's how you want it. Getting it on is a chore, but I just fold up the bottom and that makes it easier to slide on and the roll it back down once it's on my head. The liner inside is super soft, so hopefully that'll prevent chafing. I haven't worn it for long periods of time yet, so we'll see. It's a good product especially at this price point.

I live and surf in the Pacific North West and decided I need a hood to help prevent worsening Surfer's ear. I ordered both O'Neill Psycho and the Tontron to weigh the difference. The O'Neill is almost double the cost, but Tontron is superior in keeping you warmer. The inner lining is similar to what Patagonia and other high end wetsuits use to further insulate your head from the cold water. See the photo I've posted. They're little fleece-type lining that adds to the warmth.I normally wear a medium helmet, but bought an XL hood and it fits me better than a large. The large will fit but it's a tight fit, and I don't like feeling claustrophobic. The XL is not too big and creates a more comforting fit for me so I would consider sizing up.Overall, the stitching is solid and anticipate several seasons' worth with the hood.

Provides superior wind blockage AND insulation! Nice flat-lock seams and a short bill (serves to shed water spray only - not an effective shade). Quilted inner surface works as insulation and to reduce the stale feeling of having neoprene directly against your skin (I have a bald head, so this is a huge bonus). Fits true to the size chart - there's a good amount of stretch to make putting it on easy enough and there's a cinch to make sure your get a good tight fit around your face. Looking forward to much more comfortable paddles in the extreme early or late weekends of the season.

The size of this is a bit on the smaller side compared to others I have. The bill is new for me and I am not really a fan of it. Material feels nice and well made. Stitching is nice and tight. My only complaints are mainly personal complaints.
