I love this! I had my husband set it on a tree right in front of my office window, and I got a pleasant surprise. Not only do the squirrels love it, but apparently the blue jays also approved.

If you enjoy squirrels going crazy over a feeder then you need to buy this one. This holds a good amount of squirrel food too so you won’t need to refill everyday like we were doing with our last one.

They are metal, so chew-proof. The size is perfect. I ordered two for me Da as Christmas gifts and he is elated.

We have big squirrels. Lots of them. Since we already feed them, they were on this feeder instantly. I noticed pretty quickly that there's really not enough room for these fat little furballs to sit and enjoy their free treats. The benches are too small and too close to the feeder. What I often see is squirrels climbing down to grab something and then going back up to the top of the fence to sit and eat. It's either that or standing in the loose food while they pick at the corn cob, which they clearly don't mind either. I think I may attach some sort of platforms to the little benches to make them functional.I was a little skeptical about having just a spike for the corn cob. I haven't seen them pull a cob off and run off with it yet (they will do this if they can!), but you also can't stick the spike through the woody stem of some corn cobs. I use screws and a cordless drill for all my other feeders and may go that way with this one as well. I don't particularly like the way the spike folds over either, which was clearly for shipping purposes.Overall though, it's a very well made feeder. The finish looks good and it seems like it will last a while outdoors. Pretty easy to hang too. The design just leaves a little to be desired. I also feel like it makes the loose food a little TOO available. When I first hung it up, I only put a couple cups of so in it, and I'm pretty sure one lone squirrel came along and just ate until it was gone (or on the ground). I might consider closing off the food hopper at the bottom so they have to climb in the top. We have other feeders like this and food lasts longer!Despite my complaints though, it's still a pretty cool feeder. 3.5 stars.
