I gave this 2 stars because, for me, a product has to be truly terrible and fail to perform it's task to be only one star. That said, I wish I could rate this at 1.5 stars because, although it does function, it doesn't do any of its functions well or in a quality package. This is a 5 foot poser part. What I mean is that it pretends to be billet aluminum (poser) and it looks good from 5 feet away, but any closer and you can see right away it's nothing it pretends to be.The base is metal (of some kind), but the housing is chromed plastic. The screws that hold the light to the housing look like cheap steel screws that will rust at the first sign of moisture. The only positive is that the back of the light is sealed with some kind of resin, so it should be water resistant... but this isn't likely to be mounted on the outside of a car, so that doesn't matter much.Next is the strange usage of wire colors. Before I read the back of the package, I just assumed normal automotive color usage of black as ground, red as positive (brake), leaving white and yellow for signals. That would be more intuitive. But this light doesn't make sense. It uses white for ground, black as the positive wire for the brake light function, leaving red and yellow for the signal functions. Huh? Who designed this light? Whoever it was has never worked on cars and must have been at the bottom of his engineering class. Now on to how it functions, which is also not intuitive. What I expected was that the turn signal would flash on one side at the same brightness as the brake light that would remain on steady on the opposite side. How it actually functions is it lights up at about half brightness for the brake light (always) and flashes at full brightness on the turning side. If you aren't turning, you will only get a half brightness brake light, which doesn't seem very safe. If you have tinted windows, this brake light isn't going to show up through the tint; it's that dim.I suppose I should have known the quality wouldn't be any better than this at this price point, but sometimes we dream good deals still exist. If you are looking for something nice for your hot rod, this isn't it. Keep searching. This is a cheap and bad design. Unless you intend to use it on a beater as only a brake light at full brightness, then don't bother with this. And if you are going to use it as just a brake light, then why not just buy a brake light without the turn signal function? But, if any of this sounds like what your looking for, then go for it. However, mine will be returned.

I only used the bright lights part as I wanted an additional stop light in the rear of my VW bug. Works great and provides an additional safety element for my vehicle.

Added to my vintage FJ40 and after replacing the original flasher units with LED units, this light works very well.

Needed a 3rd brake light for my 57 chevy. The turn signal was a bonus. Have not installed yet.
