Purchased for my Dad who was just diagnosed w/PD. He needed some walking assistance. He loves them as feels freedom to stand up straight while walking.Very substantial tips (comes with replacement tips) & can alter height as needed. No wrist straps are a plus so won’t get tangled if needs to drop them right away for some reason.Colors are fun. We added vinyl initials.

I think rollators are a wonderful invention, but sometimes you just want a little more mobility. These handle uneven terrain better, are unobtrusive when a rollator is too much, and still keep me safely on my feet.I sometimes need extra support to move around, but have difficulty using classic canes due to wrist problems and even more difficulty with crutches due to being a klutz.Might not be the way everyone uses them, but these are perfect for me for sidewalk strolling.They adjust well, the ledge on the handles is perfect, and the gripper tips work well on a wide variety of surfaces.I did add wrist loops - not for the release-and-push-off type polling, but because I really can’t afford to drop a pole accidentally when out walking - too difficult to get to the ground. I keep the loops loose around my wrist and they’ve given me no trouble.

One of the rubber "feet" on one of the poles arrived defective - it's so worn you can see through it and hear a sharp metallic sound when walking. Over the past 10 days I have written to Urban Poling twice and they have not responded. Amazon says this product is not entitled to their support either. So what do I do? Accept a defective product? Return the whole thing when all I need is one small replacement part? What a nuisance, not to mention a waste of time and resources.

I bought these sticks for my mom to feel more comfortable on her outdoor walks. After several orthopedic surgeries (and a scary fall last year), she’s understandably cautious. She’s loving the new poles! She said they feel very stabilizing, they’re sturdy but not heavy, and they give her more confidence with balance. Plus they’ve got a snazzy fun pop of color. Functional and well made!

I use these poles for my balance after having 3 strokes. They work great, I haven't used them outside yet, I need permission from my Physio therapist first, I don't want to hurt myself, safety is paramount. I like that they are adjustable, at least once I figured out how to adjust them that is. I have them on 4 and I'm just over 5 feet tall. The poles came with some black items I'm assuming go on the bottom of the poles for the outdoor walking I want to be doing but I haven't a clue how to attach them on so I'll wait for physio I am hoping she may know or go back to the hospital where they trained me using these (theirs) Thank you Amazon for your amazing service.

I have super bad bursitis/tendonosis in both hips. The poles help me maintain a good upright posture when walking. I love how colourful these ones are. It’s a little tricky for me to get the opposite leg to pole forward rhythm going, but I’m working on it.

I would give this 5+ stars if I could. I want to say how impressed I am with these poles. Being overweight with DDD in my back and rheumatoid arthritis, my hips needing replacement, have all caused significant mobility issues. I was beginning to feel quite hopeless. I have been using a cane for the past few years and purchased some “trekking poles” last year. The poles would be adequate for someone who wanted to use them for their intended purpose, but they were not helpful for me — they slide on tile and wood floors, and didn’t feel significant or comfortable for use during any season!I am so grateful that Urban Poling are making these poles. I had no idea these existed until I did an extensive search on Amazon. I already enjoy them so much that during a visit with my doctor this morning I showed them to him and told him how helpful they are. He wrote down the info and asked (jokingly) if I am a sales rep because I was so adamant about how much I enjoy using them and how much more hopeful and confident I feel. These are life changing for me.

These poles are excellent for me since I have developed a balance issue due to weakened muscles in my legs. I practice walking at home with them, it's too icy and slippery for me this winter to walk outside. I feel much more secure walking around with these poles as compared to my previous regular ones. These do not telescope on me unexpectedly, and I like the way my hands rest on the supports, it makes me feel much more stable.
