How to use this KVM with computers/monitor without HDMI port

Laptop/Desktop (HDMI Port)	Just use 1HDMI +1USB cable to connect the PC and KVM.
Desktop (only DP Port)	Requires 1USB cable+1DP to HDMI cable or (DP to HDMI converter + HDMI cable)
Laptop(only USB-C Port)	Requires 1USB cable+1USB-C to HDMI cable or (USB-C to HDMI converter + HDMI cable)
PC with VGA or DVI Port	Supports VGA or DVI to HDMI cable, but the resolution is up to 1080P, which is not recommended.
Monitor(HDMI Port)	Just use 1*HDMI to connect the KVM and Monitor.

Monitor(DP Port)	Requires 1*HDMI to DP cable with USB powerd or (HDMI to DP converter with USB powerd+ DP cable),Not recommended
Monitor(only DVI Port)	1*HDMI to DVI cable or (HDMI to DVI converter + DVI cable)

About resolution	Using conversion cables or converters may cause resolution to drop, flicker or the monitor to not work (depending on their quality and compatibility) It is recommended to use HDMI2.0/2.1 cable, and the length of a single cable should be controlled within 1.5 meters.

You will need to buy cables because there are no HDMI cables provided. The USB cables are too short. Other than that product performs very well.

Wer wilrklich einen HDMI fähigen Umschalter kaufen möchte sollt im hohen 3-stelligen Bereich suchen, denn was hier angeboten wird funktieroniert einfach nicht, der Bildschirm wird nicht richtig erkannt die volle Auflösung wird nicht übertragen und beim Umschlaten verliert der Pc, an dem der Umschalet angewchlossen wird die Info, dass es ein Gerät angeschlossen ist.Nachdem meine obige Bewertung online war gab es ein Angebot für "Vollständige Rückerstattung", nach mehrmaligen Versuchen zu erklären was nicht so funktioiniert wie es soll, Kommunikationsabbruch

I have 2 GNU/Linux boxes, a M$ windows desktop and laptop. This KVM switch is ideal. Feeds a 4K monitor perfectly. I'll likely need to go bigger in a month or two, 4 USB device ports is not enough: keyboard, mouse, webcam and USB stick fill all 4, have to play swapsies with USB audio interface and Raspberry Pi from time to time.

I haven't used a KVM switch since they were all ps2 and vga ports. This works great and does allow you to share usb devices between machines, assuming you have the appropriate driver installed for that device on each computer.

I received a defective one. Every 2 switch I get a black screen and need to turn the switch off and on again for it to display something.

The hub portion of the kvm works fine. However, it refuses to detect my ultrawide monitor resolution on any of the three computers. It detects as 1080p only. I tried switching up cables, extending vs mirroring, nothing is working. So now I have to manually change hdmi cable direct from monitor. If someone can help troubleshoot I will change to five star.
