Very, very thin and no adhesive power

We used this to replace the old rectangular gasket in our portholes that would leak ever time it rained. I could not find a suitable rectangular gasket so I purchased this round silicone seal. It seems to work very well, no leaks for the last few rainstorms.

While it is silicone foam, not all foams are equal obviously. I would akin this to a more compressible version of solid rubber o-ring cord stock. It has the same exterior texture as solid rubber, and likely possesses the same durability as such. So keep in mind if you need this for an application which requires highly compressible material, this product may not be suitable for it.
