The correct way to wear an anti-static wrist strap

I read other reviews and before I bought this and it is the square silver plate that is the conductive element. Not the strap. I checked it and it was almost zero ohms resistance. .02 ohms on this one.I would recommend this to anyone.

Good length; it stretches around the case so you don't have to re-attach when you turn the computer around, but it's not long enough to get in the way. The standard alligator clip holds on well, didn't pop off at all. I didn't even adjust the wristband. I barely noticed I was wearing it for the whole repair.

Cord is low quality, tightly wound, so it stains when stretched. Has overall flimsy feel. Wrist band is small and tight.I measured the resistance, and it shows the required 1M ohm for dissipation, so will use it until it goes.

I always use it for when I'm building computers that I sell. I have never had a part malfunction thanks to this. But again you can build a pc with using one of these but it does give you that extra sense of protection that minimizes and chances of malfunction.
