I really like this light. It’s beautiful and wasn’t too hard to put together. We already had a spot to put it outside, we were replacing a broken pole light, so I think that would have been the tough part. My only complaint is that it’s shorter than I realized. If it was 6 inches taller I would have given a 5

I decided to upgrade from a 40 year old single light post system. I'm pleased with the aesthetic and curb appeal of the finished product. In order to better match my house I chose to disassemble and paint the entire assembly. I've read several remarks that the wiring instructions are difficult. My recommendation is to follow the diagram for simplicity. I also recommend that you only use LED bulbs ( recommended ) due in part to the small wire gauge used to manufacture the light. Be sure to grab both of the unsheathed grounding copper wires when you complete the wiring including the short wire that grounds to the base.

This is a very nice light, I have 3 - 100w bright white bulbs in it currently for reference. It is well designed and easy to set up. I am currently in Southern California and the weather has put this light to a fairly good test with torrential rains recently and our current winds gusting to 50+ mph. I have the lamp post attached to a temporary base of 4 foot by 4 foot by 3 inch thick wood made from 2 x 12 fir lumber. The lamp is rock solid in this wind, I thought there might be some vibration or movement of some kind but nothing at all, my fifth wheel trailer is however not so solid, we have whitecaps in the toilet.

Looks great, not too hard to install, has a classy look. I wish it was a bit taller, but that's a small thing. Something that helps is to install the mounting bolts in the cement as it's drying, not after it's fully dry using the template included. This will allow you to avoid the process of having to drill into cement.

This lamp looks great, really puts out a lot of well dispersed light, is very well crafted, and easy to assemble. The whole part about digging a trench and hole for a concrete base was a pain but that has nothing to do with the light. It's nice to now have an extra outlet 40' from the house, and using 3-5.5w LEDs on a photocell these bulbs will probably never burn out and they each put out 500 lumens - which is really a fair amount of light. Very reasonably priced, seems very sturdy. BTW - there are 3 "arms" that don't come with nuts. You can use them or not, but I chose to - it makes it feel more sturdy.
