My husband finally installed our VIANIS 3 head lamp post light fixture. Unfortuantely, the exterior light post lantern does NOT automatically turn on when night falls or off on sun rise.Not sure what to do now? He followed the recommended wiring. Any advice would be welcome!

Would never purchase again. Everything about this light fixture is of low quality and workmanship. Nothing fits together precisely and the hardware is of extremely poor quality. The material itself is way to thin. I doubt this lamp will survive more then a handful of years in Alberta climate.

Very thin metal. Was expecting a better thicker quality metal. The lamp post itself is quite attractive and easy to install. The seller was communicative and send install instructions.Probably would not buy this model again.

Love the lamp, looks great! However, the screws with caps used to attach the bulb cover are just too short. They are also tiny, and I got most of them installed (barely, again there isn't much thread depth) and couldn't get the last two (there are 6 total, 2 on each light cap).I went to Lowe's and bought some stainless steel screws and you can't notice them. See the attached photos. If you run into this issue, just buy a little bag of these screws at Lowe's or Home Depot.
