Adaptive 5-stage charge algorithm: bulk absorption recondition float storage The Blue Smart Charger features a microprocessor controlled adaptive battery management. The adaptive feature will automatically optimize the charging process relative to the way the battery is being used. Storage Mode: Less maintenance and aging when the battery is not in use The storage mode kicks in whenever the battery has not been subjected to discharge during 24 hours. In the storage mode float voltage is reduced to 2,2 V/cell (13,2 V for a 12 V battery) to minimize gassing and corrosion of the positive plates. Once a week the voltage is raised back to the absorption level to equalize the battery. This feature prevents stratification of the electrolyte and sulphation, a major cause of early battery failure.

Awesome product!Charged my LIFePOs on custom setting and then regenerated an old dead frozen AGM I HAD on regen settings for a normal battery!Expensive but in this case you do get the quality you pay for!Bluetooth works seamlessly too up to about 20-30 feet but that is fine to ensure no one further away could possibly mess with it.

Pros:- Bluetooth monitoring.- Fast charging- Waterproof?- Reasonable price.Cons:- Doesn't come with battery clamps (just eyelets).- Sparks like crazy whenever connecting the cables to battery, whether unplugged from wall or not. Hopefully doesn't blow anything up like the hydrogen gas some batteries vent.- Doesn't seem to recognize when you move the cables from one battery to another while charger is still plugged into source power (ie will stay in storage mode). Noco chargers would know and restart the charging cycle. Victron manual says to unplug before moving the battery cables, which I see as a design weakness.- The charger seems to use the battery as a power source when you unplug from the wall. So it seems like the charger would become a drain on the battery if it loses mains power and may kill the battery eventually because it still runs its bluetooth monitoring feature etc.I expected better from Victron but in fact I like my old Noco charger better.

Bought this charger for my 24v lithium trolling motor battery. I opted to not keep it mounted on my boat, as I’m in saltwater 3 times a week. I installed these gator clips from a battery tender on the end of the charger so I can clip them on and off when I need to charge my battery. Works great. The Bluetooth connectivity works great too. I usually leave this charging until the battery is full, then I unplug. But I have had this charger connected for a 2 week period continuously and it just went into storage mode like it’s suppose to so it won’t ruin your battery. Very happy with price and quality. I’m sure you could have it mounted on your boat 24/7, just can’t speak on the durability of it in those conditions. I’d think you could get 2-3 years out of it no problems. Rinse with fresh water and spray some CRC on it every once in a while. But it’s easy enough for me to just hook it up with my gator clips when I need it. This thing should last just as long as my battery like this. Definitely recommend this for a quality charger that won’t break the bank.

I have purchased 5 of these chargers, 4 for 24 volt systems and 1 for a 12 volt system. So far they have worked fine. I really like the Bluetooth functionality.

I have purchased two of these chargers. One for my big boat for charging my two lithium batteries (in parallel) and one for my 73 oldsmobile. The blue tooth function is awesome so you can see from your phone the charging cycles, how deep the last discharge was, and battery health. Note: you must set up what type of battery it will be connected to! This is done via the Victron app for your phone (free).

Every parameter is adjustable to customize charging to suit your usage and battery type. Water resistant, and robustly built. With BT connection there are no buttons or crap on the device itself. It can also operate as a 12VDC@25A power supply. With as many as 5 stages of charging, this is truly an advanced battery charger. While it may appear to be pricey, it is so worth every penny as it is the most flexible battery charger I have seen. If you are new to modern batteries, no worries. It comes loaded with presets for every kind of battery on the market. A truly proper battery charger for all 12VDC batteries, new & old. I recommend this as the very best choice for a stand alone battery charger.

I really like the info you can get with the phone app once synced to the charger and the ability to change/pick charging parameters... You do need to be close (like less than 10'), for the phone app to hook up, but there is another setting where you can get the info from another location but I haven't set it up and probably never will... It charger my 100 AHr LiFePO4 battery perfectly...
