I want to leave a good review buuuuut. Everything is great. Easy to install. Made it such a better machine for about 5 mins. And then the esc died. I unhooked it and plugged in the stock 6v esc and everything worked( minus it cogging due to trying to work too hard). I would but again if the computer part was better

Was pretty much "plug and play"...I didn't come with any paperwork but anyone with a brain could figure it out

Bought a non-functioning kid car at the auction and replaced the motors and wiring with this kit. Everything works great!

This kit has all the stuff to make a power wheels drivetrain that runs off of 12v instead of the normal 6 and add a parental control. Being universal this isn’t necessarily plug and play unless it’s exactly what you had existing. My car didn’t have a steering motor before, and this style didn’t fit my car. The hole in the motor didn’t fit my steering shaft so I took the gear box apart and spun the hole bigger in my lathe. I mounted it up under the dashboard instead of below the car where it’s supposed to go. The controller seems to work well. You have to be careful with the steering motor because there isn’t any limits. It can spin continuously in either direction so if you held the steering on for too long I could see you exploding the gear box. I bought this kit for the parental control feature, the fact that it’s 12v so I could run 18v Milwaukee batteries, and it has 2 drive motors instead of the single setup the car had before. After an afternoon of fooling around I’ve gotten it to all work properly and I’m quite happy. But be warned that this isn’t a direct bolt in plug and play deal. You have to have an understanding of how this works. Reuse some parts, replace others, modify things. Depending what type of person you are you might be super happy that you made a power wheels for $88, or you might be disappointed that nothing seems to go together. One thing that I never did figure out is the high/low range. It seems to run the same speed in either mode. I don’t care enough to figure out why. Not sure if I have it stuck on high or low but running 18v batteries it’s plenty fast enough.

The remote will not pair with the system for some reason. Other then that it's plug and play works good if your kids old enough to run it.

Wanted my kid's 6V GM Silverado to go a bit faster. The motors and most of the components fit. The steering motor didn't and I had to do some rewiring to make it work with the GM model, but that's normal given the kit wasn't specifically meant for that power wheel. All in all worth it and the power wheel goes fast now. Real fast. Got to run to keep up.

Even without instruction or prior knowledge of electrical connections this set up was a breeze to install.it did take some customizing body work to accomodate the steering motor and a dremel was definitely needed.I love how it came fully assembled but you do have to disassemble the pedal ,shift stick , speed switch to get it fitted through the access points.I recommend labeling the connecters to the ports you unplug from before you do if you have zero knowledge of how it all works.the rc function is a blast.like driving a giant rc toy
