I bought a light to use as a spotlight for the artwork, but it is not bright enough, quickly runs out of battery power, and frequently falls over.

Some reviews suggest that this is not very bright. I don't agree. I mounted it on the ceiling and it is plenty bright enough (in white mode) to illuminate the faces of two racks on my studio desk. The colour settings are nowhere near as bright, though. But it's also smaller than I expected, it mounts in seconds with the sticky pad, it's focusable, and it powers from a USB port. Still too pricey for what it is, but I'm happy with it, if it lasts. *Its remote interferes with another remote-controlled LED in the same room, so I have to set this one first.

Only one light works with the remote so it’s not much good if I can’t turn it on and off manually
