I unrolled the sleeping pad and inflated it. The instructions were simple to follow: close the valve under the pad and open the air intake by the foot pump. Amazingly, it only took 2 - 3 minutes to full inflate! I have other sleeping pads that take a lot longer than that. With the valve in place, I lay on it and it held nice and firm under me. There is an elevated wedge at the end for your head which acts as a bit of a pillow. I'm just under 6 feet tall and I had plenty of room for my legs and feet. The material appears to be quite sturdy but I wouldn't want this to get scraped by a sharp stick or rock. I believe I will inflate this at home before camping instead of doing it at the campsite just in case. With anything inflatable it's wise to be extra careful. There was a picture instruction pamphlet included as well as a patch kit in case of an accident. I also appreciate the handy elastic straps to hold it tight when re-packing it into the carrying bag.De-flating the mattress was super easy and quick. I just started rolling it up from the top and it folded back very nicely into the bag. This can be used for camping or for a needed extra mattress when a guest comes to visit.

The mattress comes with a drawstring bag, 2 elastic loops to help with storage, and 3 repair patches. There are 2 air valves, one on the front as part of the built in foot pump, and one on the back to release air. Pumping it up manually is easy. It does take several minutes of pressing your foot up and down on the valve though. Expect a bit of a workout. It inflates well, giving some nice padding. There’s a built in raised pillow at the top. The mattress has no soft cover or flocking, it’s plastic all over. This makes it waterproof and very easy to clean, especially if you use it at the beach. It also means it squeaks a bit when you move on it. If you put fabric down (a blanket or sleeping bag) the noise goes down too and it’s easier to shift around on it. You’ll want to add extra padding at the pillow, as it’s otherwise not particularly soft. It’s a good width and long enough to fit someone 6 feet tall. Any taller and your feet will hang over the edge. There are buckles on each side for attaching another mattress. The mattress deflates quickly and is easy to roll up and pack away. It’s lightweight, though a bit larger than I’d prefer, but easy to pack and carry.

While we don’t do traditional camping, we love setting up a tent in the backyard or at the beach for a fun outdoor experience. Having an inflatable sleeping pad like this makes it much more comfortable! The kids were so excited when it arrived and inflated it right away. It was super easy to set up—just make sure the plug on the backside is properly inserted, or you’ll end up with some initial frustration like we did! Once plugged in, it inflated in no time, and the kids even thought it was a fun way to get in some steps. The pad feels sturdy, and I love that it has snaps to attach additional pads if we want to expand it. That’s such a great design feature, and I could definitely see us ordering more to create a larger sleeping area. It’s also really portable, which is perfect since the kids love going to the beach. They can easily carry it in a bag for extra comfort while they hang out. My son also mentioned how great it would be for sleepovers—our great room turns into a sleepover zone, and this would be perfect for that, as well as for trampoline sleepovers!Deflating it was just as easy, though I had a bit of a learning curve folding it back into the bag. I still managed to get it in, so I’ll call that a win! Overall, I’m so happy with this order, and I know it’s going to get a ton of use in our house.

We are a Scouting family, and as the kids get older, they’re more likely to do backcountry and canoe-in camps. When you don’t have a car, lightweight, packable gear is a key feature to shop for. This sleeping pad weighs less than 3lbs, has a built in pillow, and inflates with a built in foot pump in about 5 minutes (as tested by my 16 year old.) Both kids (16 and 12) and my 6’4” hubby found it comfortable to lay down on in our living room. It has a nice loft of about 3.5”, so it’s fairly thick. As with other air mattresses, I’m not sure it will be particularly insulating in cold weather, so bear that in mind before you buy.One design flaw (and the reason I deducted a star): the valve to deflate is at the same end as the foot pump on the flip side of the mattress. When deflating, it’s logical to begin rolling from the foot end, but then you can’t easily release any trapped air. It would be better if the valve was on the pillow, in my opinion.

Overall an incredible inflatable sleeping pad. The built-in foot pump works perfectly and inflates the pad in a few minutes. There is no stretching or deflation over time - I've had the pad inflated for days on end and it stays as firm as when you inflate it. All the materials seem durable and the build quality is excellent. It's very comfortable to sleep on and doesn't make as much noise as other pads when you move around on it. I love that it has snaps on both sides so you can connect it to a second pad. My wife and I actually own a double/two-person sleeping pad from the same company and love it as well. Connecting two pads makes it easier to use a double sleeping bag, which greatly helps with keeping warm when camping in cold weather. The pad also packs up very light and small, so it's perfect for backpacking trips.
