Solid amp doe not require 24 volt to function as needed determined by sub and speakers used. I used it at 14.5 v 3 amp and it is quite surprising. Sound quality is quite filling. I am driving a 12 in 8 ohm sub and 2 Athena bookshelf a and it thumps depth is good.Unit gets hot not warm hot ! There is a version of this amp with a 25 x 25 x 7 mm fam over the IC and I see why. It has not affected performance in any way just don't grab it after driving it for an hr :)

It surprisingly good for the price and size. Keep in mind that you need a power supply powerful enough to feed this device. I first used an old 4 amps laptop power supply. It was ok but I now use a 10 amp power supply and can hear the difference ( more power, louder). I drive two Polk's book shelf speakers and a 8 ohm 25 cm (10 inch) car passive subwoofer with this mini amplifier.

I am completely disappointed. After using this amplifier for only a few months it is completely dead. The bluetooth module does not come alive when we turn it on. I have several of these kinds of bluetooth amplifiers and this is the only one that has died.

i installed it into a home made radio on a 24vdc li-on battery pack. This amplifier was only driving a 4 ohms subwoofer and tonight it just start smelling smoke and stopped. I wasnt even playing it loud.Bought it in march and played only few hours per months until now that is blownI wasn't not sure about the size vs announced power. it was playing loud but didn't last
