The public specifications for the LM741 state, that its maximum output current is 20mA. However, I just breadboarded a simple circuit, which was to deliver 16.5mA to an LED, that is also rated at 20mA. With a supply voltage of +5V, this chip was only able to deliver 12.4mA output current.I think that this problem ensued, because the output voltage would need to have been 3.65 / 5V, which was too close to the positive supply voltage, for the chip to fulfill this promise.Dirk
