I bought 3 units of the AGPTEK model without shuffle, it's really very similar, maybe even the same inside... the problem is that they all break in the same way in less than 1 year... everything's fine for a few months, then the glitching starts, then the sudden stops, then it stops charging and its completely dead... the indicator constantly shows battery full but turn off few seconds after *&?%$#@ so I open the case thinking the battery is dead, but no, it's the electronics section that's faulty and there's nothing I can do about it. ... so I bought this new model which has a new configuration with shuffle that I love, tunes that play are no longer predictable being a runner I appreciate ... and I hope this model will last ... it's small ultra light the sound is very good just loud enough, i dont feel it in my pocket even when i run ... simple basic good sound and thank god it has a shuffle mode!! if it lasts then it deserves a 10

This mp3 player was great while it worked.I bought it for my 3x week jog since it was small and can clip to my clothing. After 7 months of light usage, it began to randomly freeze and today it completely died and now it won't power up or respond at all.

UPDATE: The product failed after a few months. The battery will not charge. I did receive an email from SWOFY that they would look into the issue but never heard from them again.I bought this player after carefully reading the reviews and the controls. The quality if fine with a variety of headphones including a Shokz bone conducting set. It seems quite a bit better than the Oak Castle MP100 that I lost. One feature that was important to me is the dedicated volume control. On the lost player, I would have to move through various menus to adjust the volume. I like that I can use either Bluetooth or a wired cable. My rating gets the fourth star for value. I am pretty stingy with 5 star reviews. (Perhaps it would be worth that fifth star at half the price. :) )Things I dislike have been mentioned in other reviews. It seems that many of these low-end units all use the same open source firmware that might be the root of these complaints. I have not figured out how to build playlists on my computer and building them on the device is clunky. The shuffle function is definitely not random. It will repeat the same 5 minute song several times in one hour when there are 5 hours of music. My solution is to put groups of music in different folders. I will right a code to precede each file name with a random number and then play the files in order. (I have not done this.)

I needed a new MP3 player that supported Bluetooth, and I need it to be cheap. Thankfully this tiny MP3 player offered me exactly what I was looking for.Coming in with a 32 GB capacity starting off is way more than the average person will probably ever need for an MP3 player. If you do have need the extra storage though it does have microSD support as well. For my purposes though, the internal storage was more than I could ever ask for, especially at this price point.Compared to my last MP3 player my Bluetooth earbuds connect to this really quickly and on the first try every time so far and with it having a handy clip I don't need to put it in my side pocket where I had to put my last MP3 player and that resulted in a spotty connection. I'm actually able to clip this onto the peak of my cap and guarantee a direct close connection without any skips or stutters.I can't fully speak on battery life so far as I've only used it for about 10-12 hours to this point but within that 10 hours of use the power bar at the top has only dropped by one bar, so it's only used 25% to 49% of its power up to this point. You could use this to listen to music for a full 8-hour work shift if you needed to, assuming that your Bluetooth earbuds or headset would support that kind of playtime anyway.I never tested the wired earbuds that came with this MP3 player, but they do look like they were pretty cheap quality overall and probably offered subpar audio. The only real problem I have with this MP3 player is if you turn it off while your music is actively playing and then go to turn it back on at a later date the music automatically starts playing, and since you have to go to the Bluetooth menu to pair your Bluetooth earbuds with it every time, that means you are missing some of your current song. You actively need to stop playing the music you are listening to before turning it off if you don't want music automatically starting up the next time you load up this MP3 player.Overall out of the 3 Bluetooth-focused MP3 players I've had over the past decade or so, I feel like this one has been the best hands down. It's easy to use, has a nice screen where the text is easy to read, and is just overall worth its money in my opinion.

Pros:Very lightweight, small and compactIt has a clip, which is greatEasy to navigate the menus, although some of the buttons are a bit smallEqualizer has presets and is customizableBattery life seems good, I played music for hours and the battery indicator is still at fullCons:The FM radio is extremely loud, even at the lowest volume, it's still too loud! The equalizer settings that boost the bass (Rock, Techno) distort the bass massively, the same goes for customizing the equalizer to boost the bassThe earphones that were bundled are utterly cheap and sound really really bad, like a tin canSome APE files didn't play, I had to convert them to FLACIt doesn't remember the Repeat/Shuffle setting when switching between "Folder" and "Music" mode

Exactly what I wanted. Great little MP3 player that clips to your clothes and very simple to use with buttons and not finicky touchscreen. Sounds great and all features work great including the supplied headphones which usually are not that good. The FM radio is excellent as well and I had to lower the sound as it can be be very loud but that is far better than being too quiet. A lot of player in a small package and would recommend. The only downside is the instructions but very easy to figure out

I use this player while kayaking and cycling. I have fallen asleep listening to it and it's still playing in the morning. Great battery. Seems to last at least 24 hours with wired headphones and Bluetooth off. Only one problem with the user interface. Quite often it doesn't sort albums and folders in alphabetical order, and since it doesn't have a search function, this can be tedious. The buttons are all the click type, which is great in wet environments., where touch screens are useless.

Like a lot of people considering this player, I've been searching for something to replace a first gen 1GB Sansa Clip with a rapidly failing OLED display. One of my requirements is USB-C for charging/data, mostly because micro-USB is not well-engineered for longevity and reliability. I also wanted Bluetooth support, so I can use a pair of wireless sleep headphones at night. This player is mostly pretty great. Audio quality isn't super awesome, but it's also a $30 player, and headphones can make a pretty big difference. If you're big into listening to EDM at top volume, this player will not satisfy your need for deep, thumpy bass, but for most users, it's good enough.I haven't had it long enough to judge the durability of the clip or the hardware in general. I like that the buttons are individual buttons with good, solid click on press. It's a little noisy if you're in a very quiet room (like a symphony, church, or classroom), but I like how solid the buttons feel.I have yet to figure out the right format for videos. It's more a gimmick than anything - the display is too small to be useful for watching much of anything. My biggest complaints are firmware-related, and from what I can find on Amazon, pretty much every digital audio player sold at this point that ISN'T from a major OEM (Sony, Apple, etc.) runs this - or very similar - firmware.1. As others have noted, Bluetooth does not stay on. You have to re-enable it every time you turn the player on, which is super lame. This forces you to back out of whatever you're already playing to the main menu, then into the Bluetooth menu, then back to what you were doing...it's dumb.2. The volume buttons have to be double-clicked to make the button continue changing the volume while holding down either direction.3. Once the screen is off, at least two clicks are required to pause music or change the volume.. This is annoying and doesn't make sense.4. Soft-touch rubber coatings don't last. IBM seems to be the only manufacturer of soft-touch plastics with longevity, so I fully expect the coating on this to get sticky and rub off after a few years.Overall, I like it enough to keep it and continue using it, but I sure wish someone would make a quality non-touch, Bluetooth-capable music player without all the extra junk that comes with every Android-based device on the market (and iPods, for that matter).
