Arrived quickly, easy to use, sounds good enough, really I just have to see in the next days how the battery holds up.

Easy to use, works well, sounds pretty good for the price. Can't seem to get the Bluetooth to pair with my headphones yet, but I can just use wired headphones.

I originally gave this product the worst review I've ever given. I have since got the product working and it's no one's fault but horrid weather, and maybe the delivery dude that did not knock and rather left my package outside in insane cold. It took a while to thaw the two I bought out. Neither device worked for over 24 hours. However they finally worked after they thawed out. Around 26 hours later. If you have this sent in severe cold and left out by the late arriving delivery man, make sure you let the device warm up for at least a day or it's going to appear to be broken and non functioning. I bought two, and both would not work for a full 24 hours. It was -22 out before windchill. Windchill made it -30. They were outside in that weather for around 12 hours. Other than that, they both work exceptionally well. Therefore I have re-written my review, and it's now a totally positive review. With Bone Conductor headphones, my God what a game changer for my wife and I at work. I've loaded on 5,000 Punk, heavy metal, 60's-current songs onto them and work has never been more fun. Hearing this setup for the first time reminds me of the day I first put on the headphones from the very first Walkman, my Sony Walkman TSL2... and was blown away. Some people are complaining about it being not loud enough. I found the opposite. I had to turn it down at work significantly to hear my other co-workers. All my co-workers are amazed at my more modern setup than they have going on with using this with bone conduction headphones. Several of them are clearly coming on here to buy the same setup I ended up with. Including our Cuban cleaner. He lost his mind and copied the link to buy these when he got off. So in the end a wonderful product. 8.5-10 Stars.

The main reson I buy MP3 players is to listen to podcasts, WHILE doingsomething else, preferably with minimum interaction with the player, and that meansminimising looking at it and navigating through menus. This is my test for a good MP3 player and so far this product fails dismally. If you use it exclusively for short pop music and you shuffle all the time, it might be marginally useful. The lack of dedicated volume buttons is critical. To turn the volume down, you need to take it out, look at it, and navigate through menus. If you don't hold the down key long enough, you get lostthrough the menus. If the menu for volume appears and you hesitate a bit, then again you get lostthrough menus, or inadvertently switch to another file. This makes it impossible to use it while doingsomething else while listening.Pausing while playing after the screen goes blank requires THREE button presses (of the same button), and resuming after pausing also requires THREE presses or one long press and a normal one.By that time, you need to take it out of the pocket and look at the screen.Using the Folder menu leads to correctly tagged files being played in the wrong order. One may forgive this for short pop music files, but not for classical music or audiobooks.Perhaps the version of the ID tags matters, I have only used version 1, which is basic.Trying to increase the volume leads to a warning about excessive volume and NO volumeincrease above 20 or so, despite having disabled that feature in the settings. In fact, as soon as youlower the volume below 31, it defaults to the lower limit. And, ironically, a setting of 31, that isalmost always way too loud is impossible to lower quickly, because you have to long press the downarrow, and then use the left arrow quickly. Most often you get lost in the menus, so you have toresort to ripping the phones off your ear quickly..The speaker function is useful and loud for its size, but only for a quiet room(useful for use as a pillow speaker).Microphone recording says "Please wait..." for 10+ seconds, so that recording something quickly cannot be done.Fast forward does not play sound, it simply does not work while playing. This means that you need to look at the player while fast forwarding, otherwisethere's no way to know how much we skipped. That's another source of interruption.Rewind does not play sound, either. Rewinding in an audiobook is thus useless.Skip back does not skip to the beginning of the curent track first, but always to the.previous track. The only solution is to rewind, while looking at the player.Delete does not show the full file name in the confirmation question when deleting files, or whenadding or removing from playlists. The standby mode takes a loooong time to switch to normal operation. No volume control on the radio!!! Exit the radio, set the volume and come back !!!I have found it to distort about 1% of the files I listened to, for a second or two (garbling sound).I couldn't get Bluetooth to work, but I didn't try to hard. Note that the manual states that youshould NOT use Bluetooth in the car!To be fair, there is a small number of good features, but they do NOT compensate the bad ones!!Battery life is good (recharged 3-4 times over 3 weeks). It is very small and light.Easy to mount and read from Linux, within the limits of vfat. Playlists can be constructed on the player itself. Last used submenus are preselected on a second visit.I have been using a Sony NWZ-S544 for 14 years, but that's not available anymore, so I already orderedthe nearest replacement, the Sony NW-E394, hoping that some of the attention to detail, empathy to user requirements and intelligence that the old product had is still there (this is achieved by using brains, preferably good ones ).Meanwhile, I will take advantage of the return window while I can.I have tried to use it for 3 weeks and it's been horrible all along.I don't know what happens with Amazon reviews, this is a failed product that seems to have largely positive reviews and a very low price, too good to be true. The number of positive reviews is suspicious.

This is not my 1st mini MP player (see photo: my new player is the1st one on the left). Most of them function the same way, with very few exceptions. So, I have no surprises here. I'm getting exactly what I expected.I particularly like:The 64 Gb internal memory (also expandable, with a micro SD card)And all the extra features. Light and compact - fits in a shirt pocket. The long battery life. Bluetooth version 5.3For the low cost, you just can't complain. You also can't compare this to more expensive devices that cost 5 to 10 times the price. It WORKS, and the sound is good. What more can you expect for $40.?

I was looking for a simple MP3 player that let me change songs in my pocket. My iPod nano from 2009 had finally died, so I went looking. I got this one because it had many decent reviews and was cheap. It also resembled my old nano. At first, this product was very satisfactory. The audio quality was decent. The battery lasted for days and days without needing a recharge, at least according to the indicator. There were several shortcomings with the UI, but it made no difference to me since I just wanted very basic functions from my MP3 player. It did not recognize album art, and showed random album art for each song which, again, I didn't care about. The buttons were a bit sensitive in my pocket, and the lock function was awkward to use (holding 2 of the front buttons to lock), but this MP3 player did the job just fine.Out of the blue, it just decided to stop working one day. Powering it on, holding the buttons, plugging it into a computer, updating drivers, nothing worked. There is nonexistent customer support from this company, so I did not pursue getting it replaced or otherwise fixed, since it wasn't very expensive. At the end of the day, I suppose you get what you pay for. Obviously, I do not recommend this product. It's the definition of cheap and flimsy. I suspect if it didn't outright fail critically, there would have been issues with the power switch breaking off, or the headphone jack coming loose given it's physically not very well made.
