These devices were originally designed by missionaries in the rural and remote areas of Asia and Africa who were challenged by teaching the Gospel to people who cannot read. They developed a simple machine, no more complicated than a radio, that reads God’s message in the native languages of the areas they visited. These rugged electronic devices were designed for field mission work and can withstand the most severe conditions. A portion of each purchase is donated to Talking Bibles International, a global charity that carries on this calling.
Beyond mission work, this King James Version (KJV) Audio Bible is an ideal way to keep daily Scripture in the lives of those that struggle with reading or complicated technology. Seniors, kids and the blind find this device easy to use. This simple player was designed to look like a leather-bound Bible. It has only a few buttons / dials and no screens. The MP3 audio track is safe from tampering and cannot be recorded over. A dial turns this book reading machine on and off and controls the volume – which can be turned up loud enough to fill an entire room with sound. For personal listening, there is an opening for a headphone jack. This solar powered version can be recharged by being placed in the sun or by connecting a micro-USB cable to the unit and hooking the other end of the cord to a USB power adapter. This audiobook will operate for two hours when fully charged.

Amazing product. Having scripture right at your fingertips to listen to while working, playing, driving, etc. is wonderful. Highly recommend for anyone looking to add more Bible to your busy day. Perfect for elderly and nursing home residents as well. Purchased for an 11 year old boy who loves Jesus. He listens to it at night to sleep and during the day while playing outside.

I purchased it for a friend's sister and she loves it. I've been asked for another as someone's gift so it's an awesome gift. After several months of use the volume control buttons failed to work and the battery life has reduced significantly with about 1 hour of use daily.The general quality of the dials and buttons is flimsy with repeated use.It's overpriced for the quality.

I BUY THIS SOLAR CHARGING BIBLE FOR MY 93YR OLD GRANDMA IN LOUSIANA. SHE COULD NEVER READ THE ENTIRE BIBLE DO TO HER VISION SO I GOT THIS FOR HER AND BOUGHT THE WARRANTY ALSO. SHE LOVED IT BECAUSE SHE COULD HEAR EVERY WORD. AFTER THE FIRST CHARGE IT NEVER CHARGED AGAIN!! I SENT 3 MESSAGES TO THE SELLER AND NO REPLY. MY GRANNY IS 94 NOW AND THE BIBLE IS STILL NEXT TO HER BED IN THE BOX... I AM SO DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE THAT WAS THE PERFECT GIFT TO HELP HER GET THROUGH THE ENTIRE BIBLE!!
