Ear molds are cheap quality. Only wore them for a week at job and ear mold is tearing into two pieces from the point where clear tube goes in.Would not recommend.

I had some trouble connecting this to the speakermic of a Motorola 6550, but using a small extender it worked fine on a Motorola 7550, and typical baofeng speakermics. The included tip helps a little with external noise, but for better noise isolation I plugged it directly into a Surefire EP3 earplug. Compared to listening directly to an earphone plugged in the output, speech definitely sounds more muddy, but pressure on the earpiece secret agent style helps a lot.

As a firebuff I work part time as volonteer for F.D. canteen in Quebec city Canada . I need a ear piece that is not to expensive if I loose (already lost a few in the action) , not to bulky, small enough to avoid getting it snagged. I noticed all these pros wearing this kind of equpt for their portable radio and thought I could not buy one that easy and affordable. good product up to now. received as schedute, easy to install on my Motorola. the little clamps are useful to attach your kit on in the back of your collar permits to maintain your coiled tubing in place for the ear , and another clamp make it easy to connect the other end to your portable. Earing is good, it's not for music , sound is loud and clear to my surprise. the sound seems to originate from a mini sound box that is connect to the tube and leads sound to your ear. bye. Jean.
