I had used a super thin mat that cost double of this and it doesnt even come close to how well this mat does its job. The plastic table top didnt even feel hot under it. Very pleased - mind you I used a Coleman 2 burner classic stove and and a raised 6 inch high charcoal grill. I feel like the price point is very fair for the size.

I bought this for my daughter immediately when she told.me they bought a gas fire pit for their 2nd story deck... sounded extremely dangerous so I bought this immediately and received it the same day their pit was set up..perfect timing and I can sleep.better now.

Not too much to say about this product besides it being good quality and it does what it claims. Tested it when it arrived by placing a red hot coal on it for 30 seconds. Did not come close to burning through.

Its nice and heavy duty. I'm actually using it to protect my tempered glass railings where my BBQ is placed 6-8" away from the glass railing on my deck. I noticed that after an hour or more of BBQing, the glass is quite hot to the touch. I had wooden railings before our re-build and I remember some darkening of the old wood railings. Once I put this blanket and hung it over the railings, not only was the glass cold, the blanket itself wasn't even warm (shiny side to the BBQ) after an hour of BBQ. Great product!

Used under a portable fire pit camping, noticed when packing up that there was scorch marks on the grass under the mat where hot embers fell out of the bowl onto the mat. Definitely served its purpose for what I needed but something to be aware of is the heat will still char under this mat if not attended too constantly while in use. Also use this to protect my tent floor when using a tent wood stove. For that it works well.

Using this in our winter hot tent under front of stove. Keeps the tent from getting sparks on floor. Would recommend this.
