Underwhelming. Should have paid 3$ more for the maxpower brand. Have those and much better then these.

These tools are not for professional use. Steel is pretty low quality and cutters stop working pretty quick. Not sure what those "labor saving springs" and "safety locks" are for, I removed them right away. Especially disappointed with side cutters since they don't really cut, have to apply both hands in some cases (normal side cutters, like Klein, work 5 times better). Needle Nose and Linesman Pliers are OK if you don't use them for cutting. Overall this set worth its price if you are looking for cheap tool for home.

Well I just got these, so no actual use on a job yet, although I will be on a project next week and will use them. But first impressions are good, solid tools, move smoothly, comfortable handles.I must admit these are the first lineman pliers and cutters that I've had with springs to open them. So I will have to get used to that, but the operation is smooth and you are not fighting the spring, so I can see where it would ease use. That does mean that they have a locking catch to hold them closed, and that looks like the weakest part of the tool, being just a bent wire hook that holds the handles together. We shall have to see how long that lasts on the job.However, the most important thing for me is how well they cut wires. I have had so many cutters and pliers that do little more than squash the wire. I want a good positive click and cut. These worked perfectly. Good cutting action, clean cuts, and a satisfying click. Perfect.Most of the metal parts are black anodised, with some polished steel areas. I will wipe those down with oil or WD-40 to prevent rusting as I live in a humid tropical environment.4 stars for now as they need to be used on a job, but first impressions are good and a good price. I'll probably update the rating after some work experience with them.
