This is a very well-made product. The multiple ways Used is indeed very handy and it’s actually really well constructed. I like the fact that they included an extra little camo case for it.

The package arrived on time and undamaged...This is a real honker! Lol! It seems quite sturdy and heavy too. I like the incline device that folds up on the left side; the little “telescope” on the bottom is a nice idea. I have a very expensive compass that I know is right on to magnetic north — this one matches perfectly. All in all, I really like it; if I had to find a negative point, I’d think it would be the compass's weight. 🤷♂️ If you're looking to travel light, you may want to pick another compass. I spent time as a Navy Hospital Corpsman (it's like a medic) for the 2nd Marine Division in the '70s, and we liked to shed weight as much as possible. I wouldn't take this on an extended hump for 15 miles; otherwise, it's great!

It has all the tools needed, if you compare it to an expensive brand. The cost is low, and can be used with confidence. Just don't drop it on the concrete floor.

Great compass overall. I was slightly disappointed that I got a more “flashier” version of the compass rather than the plain green. But I am picky and the build is exactly as described and just as solid without any technical differences… So I can’t complain thereThere’s definitely a learning curve, so be prepared to understand a survey in Compass, and I highly recommend watching a few videos for those who want to get the most bang for their back.I was worried something was wrong with the focus when everything was blurry only to find out that I should have been wearing my glasses while looking through the lens. (there is a technical reason for this and the adjustments will not focus your vision like a binocular, as I had initially thought… your glasses will be needed if you wear them, to see clearly through the very useful scope.(That is clearly on me lol)Keep it in its case, away from anything magnetized, and take advantage of the tripod feature and knowing how to use it.It’s definitely not the best Compass in the world. But will it serve your purposes for the price?Absolutely!Is it worth getting for the price for what it provides?Absolutely!Definitely useful to add…. Especially for those starting out, looking for back ups, or just in case. It does the job and some!

it has everything a compass needs and even more . it weights about 1 pound its kinda heavy but it made really well . if you drop it you won't break it . its very accurate , i use it when we go camping haven't lost the trail yet . great compass and would make a great gift .

This is a solid chunk of metal. Very heavy. It's a nice compass, but impractical for hiking and backcountry camping due to its bulkiness and weight.

I enjoy working with compasses, and this one has a number of features I particularly value from a cartographic perspective. It’s of very solid construction, comes in a handy case, something to carry on a vest or belt. The features are comprehensive, as described, and there’s a concise, readable set of instructions to familiarize the user. Specs, use tips, how to define the value of marching direction and follow same, map orientation, position on a map, clinometer (to measure height distances or slopes), estimating distance to object by map, measuring angle, distance on the ground, measuring object distance when height and width are known, measuring distance using scale-marked glass.With bubble to center for leveling. All together, a pleasure to use, a wonderful tool.

Unfortunately this one arrived with the compass dial lop-sided and tilted at an angle (probably off the centre-point). I sent it back. However I also ordered two more compasses of the same design from other various sellers on Amazon - you can see there are many similar compasses. In fact they all appear to be exactly the same... as if they were made in a single OEM factory and then branded differently by all these other companies. The other compasses worked fine and are extremely accurate for bearings.. Pity this arrived broken.. but I think the same thing could happen to any of the similar compasses here..... since they all appear to be from a single OEM supplier in China.
