These are by far the most annoying and useless cameras. The batteries die within a week on the flood lights and I got too, so I know it wasn’t just a lemon of a floodlight and by the way they take 4D batteries so you can imagine the expense to replace those once a week. They go off-line frequently, even though your camera is not far from the hub and now 13 days in no matter what I do they won’t reconnect so unless you want to take a camera down every few days to reconnect it and then go back out and put it up and then these aren’t for you. I’m super disappointed. The picture quality is great, but the function of the camera is not. I had the metre man come into my backyard and all I did was record him until he got partway in my yard, but didn’t continue to record even though I had it set that way so that’s nice that I can see him come in, but you won’t see what the people actually do!

We bought this in October 2024. At first it worked great however when winter settled in it started going off line. Thinking it was due to the weather I did the trouble shooting I found on line, that is removing and re installing the batteries, this worked for a few days and had to do it all over again however this time the batteries we completely dead. I replaced the batteries and things were good for a few days then back to square one. I figured it couldn’t be weather related as my other cameras were working fine. I worked with tech support on line and got things going again for a few days when I found batteries dead again. We called the 800 support number and spoke to a very nice person who reasoned the camera itself must be the issue and shipped us a new camera. So far everything is working great the picture even seems a better quality. Thank you for the great customer support. Nice to know they stand behind what they sell.

Bought this with big excitement to have a flood light with the blink camera for our frint driveway as we've had great luck with the cameras (we have 10)... Put the floodlight / camera combo up Christmas day, 3 weeks later flood light will not connect & doesn't work (even with new batteries), but camera works fine...Very disappointing, especially with the good luck we've had with the cameras..*****UPDATE****** shortly after leaving this review a Blink representative reached out to help and the issue was resolved the next day... First class customer service.

Good quality, can do what is suggested. Easy installation . Setup process is a little bit complicated.Disadvantage: cannot record images to local storage like NAS or computer other than the module2.

Works good! Image quality is decent and the lens is wide enough to see quite a bit of your yard! I did find the battery drops fairly quickly if you have the highest video settings and lights on. But definitely works as it should. The motion detection works great, maybe a little too good at times, it detects the wind blowing stuff around even at the lowest settings. The beta for the person detection is iffy, but it is a beta so I can’t be too hard on it! Overall I’m happy with it!

I LOVE the flood light I have two now! I have several cameras outside but holy smokes this flood light is bright and gives your camera the clearest image at night. Totally worth it. I have them in my backyard when people hop the fence and it’s blinding! It is BIGGER than I expected/heavy but seriously it’s so worth it. I even got my parents one for their home now. Honestly even if you just wanted a light outside you can turn on to see your yard or where your walking this is perfect! No wires needed 👍🏻

Update: Seemed to have gotten past the always offline issue. Amazon did replace the unit without any issues at all. However - I have this and the doorbell camera. Both work but I have to say the Live View feature is pretty unusable. I have a high speed connection at hom and have tested to the devices (the doorbell is roughly six feet away). When I get a notification from either this camera or the doorbell the connection takes about 1 to 2 minutes and often just fails. I had switched to the blink doorbell from Nest because I bought this camera - but will have to switch back to make it usable.Camera batteries seem to be dead after a week. Installed which was pretty straightforward. Worked the first two nights. Then it only gave notifications and no videos. Then it went offline all together. Ordered new batteries to replace the ones that came with, however if I have to replace batteries every week then no point. I also used all the default settings to ensure best battery life. :-(
