Blumat Classics function simply, using a siphon to pull water from a reservoir into a container, emitting it through the porous ceramic cone. Austrian-Engineered plant stakes that are superior in design, material quality, and durability.
Advance Watering Technology
As the soil dries, the ceramic cone delivers water gradually into the surrounding earth - thereby creating a vacuum within the cone which draws water from the nearby container of water. Once the soil is moistened the Blumat will cease flowing water. It waters your plants only as needed.
Adjust Water Flow
- If the Blumat is over-watering your plant, you can place the reservoir lower (relative to the Blumat). The reservoir can be as far as 12″ below the Blumat while still watering your plant, albeit slowly.
- If the Blumat is under-watering your plant, you can raise the reservoir relative to the Blumat. The higher the reservoir, the faster the flow rate.
Easy Set Up
Step 1
Fill a bowl with water. Remove the top of the Blumat. Put both the top and ceramic cone into the bowl for at least 15 minutes. Submerge the ceramic cones.
Step 2
Remove the cone from the water, while keeping it as full of water as possible. Secure the green cap on top.
Step 3
Push the ceramic cone into the soil. Place the anchor on the far end of the 3mm tubing into a reservoir.
Water discharge is approx. 75 ml / 24 h or 125 ml / 24 h (XL size)
Silicone tube reaches about 38 inches.

So you have to fiddle around with it a lot (adjusting the height of the water source relative to the plant pot). My plants were a bit dry when I got back from holiday but they were still alive, so I can't fault it.The instructions that came with it aren't sufficient. They don't tell you that you need to clear the tube of all air and they don't tell you the best way of doing that. Found a YouTube video that had good instructions on how to do that.Glad I found a solution to watering the plants when I'm away!

I really like this product. I bought it to water my plants while I was away for two weeks. I came back and the plants were still healthy and green and there was still water in one container and the other container was almost done. It is easy to set up and use. Water the plants before you insert the stake and use a large water reservoir.

Matériel d'excellente qualité ,et fonctionnelje ne dit pas parfait car rien ne remplace la nature( arrosé correctement ,et ré arrosé quand la plante commence a faire la tete )les blumat troop font le job pour ceci dans une limitedonc ces matériels sont d 'excellent remplacement en cas d'absencemais ne font en aucun cas 100% le job ...( les matériels similaire noname ou chinois , ont tendance a trop humidifié et asphyxie les plantes…Méfier vous ;) )

Prior to Covid I used to travel constantly for business, and had to rely on plastic plants and no pets as a way of life. I'm starting to get back into the travel thing, more for different places to work remote, and had bought some real, live house plants that suddenly were at risk of a slow death from lack of watering. Searching Amazon for an answer, I discovered these nifty little Blumatic watering stakes and decided to give it a try.Set up was easy - soak the little stakes, add some water, stick them in the pot, put the hoses into a little container of water, and head out of town. Three weeks later, we returned home to plants that were healthy, soil that was moist but not wet, and a nearly empty bowl of water for the little hoses. Now, instead of watering the plants, I just replenish the bowl of water. The plants are thriving, I have real, live plants in my home, and I have no guilt when I go away for a while that I've done in yet another plant.These are so simple, even I figured out how to use them - soak, fill, stick, hose, bowl, water, keep bowl full of water, enjoy live plants. Easily recommended.
