We have had to purchase new ink cartridges several times over the years and we stick with Brother brand because it’s such good print quality. We have never had any issues and seems to last us a long time. The print colors are so much brighter and more vivid than others.

There are alternatives, but if you want minimum hassle or complications, OEM is the way to go.

More expensive than 3rd party toner carts but cheaper than replacing the printer.We only use Brother toner cartridges now on our 5 year old MFC-9130CW.Before this, I used some 3rd party toner carts on a previous Brother printer that caused printing problems that were not fixable. Ended up replacing that printer!

Never had any problems with Brother cartridges. Had major problem with the knock offs gumming up my printer. Spent a lot of time cleaning it out and was surprised I was able to get it back to working order. Didn’t give 5 stars to this item because of high price. In Canada, download the return labels to send back to Brother. Gives you a discount on your next purchase.
