About this item

  • Fully threaded rod
  • Material : Steel

This fully threaded rod is made of class 8.8 steel, has M8-1.25 right-hand threads, and is 1 m long. Class 8.8 steel, composed of quenched and tempered medium carbon steel, is often used in applications where strength is the primary consideration. The material is magnetic.Threaded rods and studs are fasteners that screw into threaded nuts or tapped holes, allowing for assembly of components. The difference between rods and studs is length: In general, a stud is up to 1 foot long, and a rod is more than 1 foot long. Both have threads along part or all of their length. Those that are partially threaded have equal or unequal thread lengths on one or both ends. Studs are also available with a perforated base, weld projections, or a press-in captive head for securing to the surface of a component.

Showed up straight, no bends, no problems. Brace is doing fine, can't really say anything bad about them at all.

No problems here but the rod I received was black rather than silver as in the picture so keep that in mind. That being said I prefer the black one so I'm happy.

Works well in my 3d printer, it can be hard to thread a nut on them at first, so be prepared for that

Good quality, nice product. Can be rather difficult to find anything like this at your local stores. I used this for mounting an engine block to my Harbor Freight engine stand. It's a BMW M10 out of a 2002 for reference, requires 1 M8 stud and 3 M10 studs. I cut them to length as needed. Still holding the block up two weeks later.
