This was a replacement for an existing push bar that just stopped working. We installed it on a steel door without any problems. The holes for the new push bar did not line up with the existing holes so we added JB Weld and drilled new holes. (Not a big deal... actually I expected this) We were just re-inspected for our bakery and passed with flying colors. In other words... this worked perfectly!
