I have had other brands of battery chargers/maintainers. Trying CTEK brand for the first time. Unit is well constructed and have topped up two car batteries so far. Unit is easy to use, I just used the default settings of 12v regular car battery. The unit worked its way through the lights until reaching "fully charged" status. Though more costly than other brands, I like the 5 year warranty. Will see about the longevity of this unit. So far the unit is doing its job.

Not happy that I had to buy this, not the product's fault - it's the bad design of the new batteries - so thank goodness this is available. At least with this the charger I don't have to worry about killing my battery again.

This is my third C-Tek charger. Had to get this one for my latest vehicle which has a AGM battery. The vehicle was left for many months without a tender and my dealership told me I would need a new battery. This charger has a reconditioning mode which has restored my battery and saved hundreds of dollars. One of the other chargers is for Lithium batteries and that is excellent as well. These are the best. It takes time as they are not high amp. devices but if you have the time for them to do their magic you will not go wrong with these top quality products.

This is a great battery maintainer, easy to configure, with good accessories for connecting to multiple machines. However, charging is very slow even with small batteries, so you will need a separate high amperage charger to charge in a hurry, or to boost a dead machine. My UTV battery is hard to get at so I bought an accessory cable and hardwired it. In the cold the clip on the charger side broke on second use, so the connector is only friction fit and will disconnect at the slightest pull. Apparently designed and tested in a warm climate only, a shameful cheap-out for a device like this.

Prime Day sale made the value exceptional. Charger is excellent quality, decent instructions, works perfectly. I was previously charging Sprinter van battery with my motorcycle trickle charger, which was okay, but not ideal. This charger made a big difference in charging time and end result was a higher final voltage. Can plug in and forget as it works great as a maintenance charger. I had to add-on the silicon bumper/protector and extension cable for the battery clips - so final cost is higher if you need those options. Only complaint is proprietary plugs which means I can't use the cables from my existing charger. CTek makes a charger with Mercedes-Benz branding - this is the same charger but without the lithium battery capability and M-B branding, so almost half the price (on sale). Highly recommended.

Perfect for gentle charging and battery maintenance for vehicles in extended storage. Smart charging with multiple stages and supports AGM batteries (commonly found on German cars, where the battery is in the trunk). Once charging is complete, it keeps a steady eye on when a top-up is required, as vehicle electronics continue to slow draw while in storage. In watch mode (most of the time), it only consumers 0.8 to 1.8 watts. Its truly a set and forget charger. Even after a power outage, it remembers its settings and continues to monitor the battery and only charge when necessary. The BMW OEM version is the exact same as this CTEK model. The extra money for this charger is well worth it to not overcharge your battery.

I own the ctek 10amp and have used it a couple of times and it did what it said on the box, I bought this 5amp as its a lot kinder on these start stop battetys I still use the 10amp on ordinary batterys and five on stop.start battety to maintain them
