I haven’t had to make any adjustments, it’s not down to the degree accurate but good enough for basic navigation. Sometimes it takes a little tap on the top but it’s not frequent. It’s quite small which I wanted but even a few feet away it’s easy to read. The light is good but maybe a little bright for a car dash board, it’s ok in this situation. It’s holding up to saltwater so far, I’ll be happy if I get a year but I’d say that with one triple the price, salt kills everything.

installed on car dash for ~3 years, accuracy is ok for the price once calibrated. after 3 years though it randomly decided to leak all its oil out all over my dash so that was a bummer.

I purchased this compass for my boat. Only had a small place to attach the compass. Yes made of plastic but fie the price it was worth it. Checked North against my phone compass and it lined up with. We'll see how long it last but for now I'm happy. OH AND IT WAS SHIPPED FAST

The compass is quite small yet looks well designed despite it's low price. And it arrived very fast. But.....I can't use it, because the calibration adjustments are not enough to give anyvwhere near adequate accuracy. I don't know if all these compasses are bad like this or not, but mine surely is useless. And, my boat is all aluminum, no metal interference to foul up calibration. No battery in the boat now, laid up for winter, so no electrical interference either. And because I otherwise liked the little compass, I tried calibrating it in my car for use there and it wouldn't calibrate there either.😔

Great little compass. However I felt I had to seal the cavity where the wires exit though they have drain holes on the bottom. I have it in my kayak with a plug soldered on. I then carry a small 9v battery with a matching plug for night use. Lights up just fine with no switches.
