Expanding on Earthquake's line of audio problem-solving products: The GLI-200 ground loop isolator. The standard A/V receiver output is 600Ω yet most ground loop isolators on the market today have 200Ω at best. When using these substandard products, your A/V receiver has to deliver 3x more current or compromise the output Level. The GLI-200 comes with an impedance of 600Ω right out of the box, matching that of the industry standard. Earthquake's GLI-200 is constructed with high-quality components and will not roll-off the low frequency response due to undersized transformers resulting in substandard performance. It was designed to reduce most of the dreaded buzz and ground loop noise while maintaining high-quality sound from your audio system. The compact and rugged construction of the GLI-200 allows for it to fit into virtually any audio system, and can be mounted to any surface with its built-in mounting bracket. This will give you a cleaner looking install and allow it to be hidden out of sight. Not all hum or buzz noise situations are the same – follow the Earthquake Sound wiring guide to achieve the best performance. When it comes to audio noise and hum issues, the GLI 200 offers great problem solving solutions to most ground loop issues facing audio professionals and installers to the everyday home and car audio enthusiast.

Used on full bandwidth speakers, APC S20, AVR and 1000W amp. Works great with a caveat; I needed to ground the AVR to the UPS otherwise it will sound worse. Without this device, grounding the AVR and amp to the UPS in any combination does not work. This might be one of several devices or things you need to do to eliminate ground loop and noise.Aside from that, it also reduced amp hiss and eliminated active HDMI cable noise. It works so well that you think some audio signal is lost. But before and after room calibration result is inconclusive, bumping up 16kHz and reducing 500Hz one dB, were the largest difference.

I was optimistic that this device would remove the RF or hum associated with my turntable set up based on all the good reviews. My set up is as follows: Technics TT to Vincent tube pre-amp out to Tube equalizer out to Tube amp and finally out to AV receiver.Once installed, I noticed a loss in audio fidelity including bass. When I disconnected a reverted to my standard set up without the Earthquake, volume was louder, bass returned. The RF noise/hum was present with or without this device and really noticeable at high volume like 50db so it really didn't do anything except lower audio fidelity. Not sure why. I attempted setting up earthquake between TT and phono pre amp and got the worst noise, They I set up between phono pre-amp and equalizer and although audio passed through, fidelity was lost and apparent. Then I set up between tube amp and AV receiver, and same result with a loss in fidelity. Note that I have installed my internet router and internet connections as far away as possible from turntable and amps buy somehow get this weird RF signal. So the saga will continue for me. I will surely appreciate any tips!

TLTR: It worked like a charm in my case.Professional here. Had a massive hum problem on a high end system. Since this might help some of you I'll try to quickly describe the system. It was a high end stereo system incorporated into a home theater system. When listening to music the stereo system was using an integrated stereo amp with 2 digital sources and one analog source, no problems there. When the stereo system was switched to watch movies or TV, HT bypass was engaged on the integrated stereo amp and a surround sound receiver would handle all the audio and video processing. Important note, the surround sound receiver was connected to the integrated stereo amp via RCA connectors coming from left and right Pre Out outputs. The problem was I had a massive hum coming from projector's HDMI cable (8K certified optical HDMI cable). Couldn't fix it no matter what. Decided to give this thing a try and all the hum was gone just like that. The system is silent now. Would not hesitate to buy again.

Didn't fix my subwoofer hum problem, turns out I needed to connect the ground on my speaker/line level converter to the ground on my receiver to fix that. What it did help was my auto on/off problems. The problem is that once I connected the ground on my converter to eradicate the hum, running it through this device causes the hum to come back. So now the device is sitting unused in a box. It definitely does something, but whether it will work for you will likely depend on your configuration.UPDATE: June, 2022: this unit did fix a problem I've been having with playing audio in one room in my apartment, which seems to have a bad power supply. Connected it between my DAC and receiver inputs, and it stopped the crackling/static. At high volumes you can hear that it introduces its own low level hum, but I don't play at high volumes.
