Epever, makes very solid charge controllers. They are very affordable and quite easy to set up. I have been using this brand charge controller for 4 years now with only 1 hiccup that was my fault.

I now have 3 EPEVER controllers and am happy with all of them. Seem to work really well and no issues for several years. High quality.

Where to start, I noticed that while charging my new Lifepo4 it never went past 13.8V unlike the charger that took it to 14,7V. So I contacted Epever wanting to know why it seems stuck in a float mode, thats when the fun started, countless settings (also purchased MT50) and pictures, then the last (pic) finally a verdict yes there is an issue please contact Seller(Goland Century beware) for replacement as for some reason they had no authority to over ride them? Thats when the second barrage of tests and emails started, whilst blaming my batterie etc..then they wanted me to go borrow someones windows PC so they could change the Li Batteries protection within the controller (so blame back to controller)which I dont have access to, thats the only way she could supposedly fix my issue, so in other words known issue and only remedy was use Epever Window/Android PC software, I told Goland to send me an updated new one, didnt do that either told me would send a new one but would have same issue..wouldnt fix my problem weeks of emails with zero results, in the end I told them to keep their defective crap and never buy again. If Epever (EPSolar) cannot write software for Macs then what kind of Co are they and mislabel it to use on Lifepo4 and other Lithium..To properly be able to use it you almost need to be an electrical engineer. MT50 useless another gadget to play with that does nothing.Stay away from Goland Century and Epever ,spend a bit more. Ex. Canadian Solar, had a defective Panel(diode) the fastest greatest service ever in an 1 hr warranty was done and a week later had my new panel.ONT to BC. I by-passed my useless supplier and did it myself after waiting 2 months for him to do it. So Beware Goland Century and Epever controllers lower end. The end result it will only take my cells to a max 3.425V which is 70-80% full (3.55-3.65V in 12V) . yay consumer gets shaffted again!! Isnt it a great world we live in?
Why bother

These work well, as I bought 2, one for emergency use. I live off grid, so these are my power source. I recommend getting the remote, because the pc app is hard to figure out. Watching a few videos was necessary for me. The remote makes it a breeze to change all parameters. The wire tightening screws/connectors are small and feel like the same weak ones $15 controllers have. The voltage is inaccurate in the daytime, while there is charging/discharging happening, but better at night. It's usually +.2-.3 volts higher than my accurate multimeter reads in daylight. I have three lithium 100 ah batteries wired in parallel. .2 volts is a LARGE percentage of the cycle on lithium 12v batteries. When the controller says 13.6-13.7v, which is my regular float, the batteries are actually as low as 13.3v. I have to raise my float to 13.7-14.0 sometimes, just to make sure they're full in the evening. At 13.6v float, the batteries are carrying my load, even in bright sunlight. I remember the controller acting different with my lead batteries, and just read another review saying the same. Another quirk I found, is that when I set the boost charge at say 14v for 60 minutes, it's not at all enough. I found that instead of charging the batteries TO 14 volts for 60 minutes, this charges the batteries AT 14v for that time, then the charge drops to my float voltage. So if I drain my batteries to 70%, I need .9 kwh to refill them, in addition the1 kwh I use. With 1 hour of 14 volts and the rest of the day at 13.7v float CHARGE VOLTAGE (13.4 actual), they just aren't getting enough power to refill them to 13.3 or so at the end of daylight. So I really have to watch them, and occasionally manually adjust the float voltage to as high as 14v, just to have 13.3v at sundown. Here's an example. This evening, I had 130 watts of draw, and the charge was only like 50 watts. The battery read 13.35 volts. So I was running on my batteries, instead of sunlight. I had to turn up my float to 14v, before the wattage went to like 150w. So yes these work, and I like them, but I have to keep my eyes on voltage.

I have a 100 amp charger of the same brand and it was flawless for the last few years so I stayed with the same name brand. I have had zero issues. Only thing that could be better is the software the monitors the unit via a laptop was horrible to hook up a few years back. I don't need it though as the unit tells you how many KWh it made over its lifetime. Very happy with the unit. Glad I bought the MPPT one and it makes more power with the voltage that exceeds 24v on my solar system.

Utilisé pour la vanlife, ce régulateur MPPT est excellant. Son prix est abordable, pas de problème en utilisation quotidienne. Pas de difficultés à comprendre et à personnaliser les paramètres.

I started off with Rich Solar controllers. Both burned up.I went to the EPever 40A because of the reviews and the price. When it got here I was amazed!Twice the size of the Rich 30A controller! And 3 times as heavy! Must have metal heat removal parts that the Rich solar ones didn't have.Installed it at night making it very easy, only had to disconnect the positive battery lead. From the first day, with only 6 hours of real sunlight, it brought the battery bank and my solar generator up to 12.4 volts each. Very impressive. Longevity is the only issue left. Time will tell.
