  • For first use, update the firmware to the latest version:

    - Camera: Connect to the eufy Baby app, then go to Me > My Devices > Settings > About Device > Firmware Update.

  • The camera works great whether plugged in or running on its 5,000mAh built-in battery, ensuring seamless use during trips or power outages. When using battery power, you can expect about 9 hours of use and around 5.5 hours with night vision.

  • The camera features cry detection, loud noise detection, and temperature monitoring. You can adjust the sensitivity for cry and noise detection with five different levels and set the push notification intervals to avoid frequent disturbances.

  • The Wi-Fi switch is there to protect your privacy and security. When it's turned on, the camera connects to your router, letting you view the livestream on the app. If you turn it off, the camera will only connect to the monitor.

  • Smart Connect is enabled by default. When the camera's Wi-Fi switch is on and it's connected to Wi-Fi, your device automatically switches between Wi-Fi and local connection for optimal streaming. To disable it, turn off the camera's Wi-Fi.

This eufy Baby Monitor add-on camera is great for keeping an eye on your little one. The 2K HD resolution ensures clear video, even at night, and the 330° pan and 60° tilt allow you to see the whole room. The 5000mAh battery makes it portable, perfect for travel or power outages. The noise-reduction feature helps you monitor your baby's sleep without background noise. Plus, it's secure with encryption and local SD card storage. The quality of the video feed is good, it is a Eufy camera after all. It is pricey. It is a Eufy camera after all. The thing that I didn't realize was that you can't just access the camera via your normal Eufy app. This is more of a stand-alone camera. So while it sucks that it doesn't integrate with my Eufy ecosystem, it still has its uses. This is great for a portable surveillance system, either to watch the kids or something else. If there isn't a WIFI signal, it will still connect to the screen. It doesn't even need power since it has a builtin battery. So if you're paranoid like me, I like to keep this camera on in hotel rooms, in case there are some shenanigans with the staff coming in and touching my stuff. Don't touch my stuff man!

It’s ironic how 4 years ago when we were looking for a baby monitoring camera, we ended up choosing a Eufy indoor camera with 360° rotation, pan and tilt. The reason we went with eufy was the image quality both day and night. It was very sharp!! Mouse baby cavers recorded at 1080p or lower. Eufy offered 2k recording!Fast forward 4 years and now there is an actual baby camera made by the same company! With another baby on the way, we decided to give this 2k camera a test. Immediately, I was super happy with the crisp image quality. The ease of operation continued from the security line onto the baby line. One disappointment at the of review (2/23/2025) is that you can’t install this camera onto the existing eufy ecosystem software. You have to install a separate software meant specifically for this baby camera! I read on some websites that there are plans to incorporate the camera into the security eufy software but so far nothing.

I have the Eufy E21 Baby monitor and I got this add on because of how much I love this system. They are the first to have a 4K monitor and I assume there are very few 2K baby specific cameras out there as well. I will be using my 4K camera at home to monitor and capture special moments, while the 2nd camera will be used for travel and a future baby. Here are several other thoughts:- I appreciate security and this camera gives you the option through the flick of a switch to only use the monitor without Wi-Fi. This is nice when I don’t want my videos going to the cloud.- Setup is very easy. Follow a couple of steps as outlined in the quick guide and it is good to go. My camera connected quickly and easily. I didn't have to try multiple times to connect it like I have with other types of devices.- It works perfectly with my current monitor. Similar to the phone app, I connected it through Bluetooth to my monitor in under 30 seconds. Once connected, I could see my two monitors side by side with no connection issues! (pictured)- I love the baby specific settings. The temperature, noise, and crying monitoring are all very nice options.- It also connected to my Baby Eufy app without issues. I can see both of my cameras and receive notifications. I have a Eufy doorbell and my main Eufy app allowed me to consolidate all of my cameras into one place (doorbell, pet camera, and 2 baby cameras).- I don’t have to pay monthly fees for any settings! This is a huge reason why I bought this monitor.- Pan and Tilt are not always a given. I appreciate that this includes that- The mounting bracket seems to be universal. At least it was for me. The threading on it allowed me to screw it onto my camera stand.- It’s got a 5000 mAh battery. That’s pretty good and should last for several hours. Perfect for travelling.Overall, this is an awesome add on camera that will be getting a lot of use. I highly recommend the Eufy E21 and E20 add on camera if you are in the market for a good baby monitor.

We have a number of Eufy cameras and found this one to be simple to use, too. Installation and setup were a total breeze. We don’t use a Eufy baby monitor, but I just wanted a camera to use with an app instead of a physical device. I really like that you don’t have to have the actual monitor for this to be useful! You do need to download the Eufy baby app, as it won’t connect to the regular camera app from what I could tell. You’ll also need a microsd card if you want to record and not pay for the service.
