My subwoofer Factory plate amp gave up, this one does a good job to replace it, and good value for money !

I’m using this to power some Dayton bass pucks, and it’s perfect. A good amount of power, and the low frequency cut-off is totally effective (the pucks otherwise echo vocals, etc… and sounds bad and distracting). They’d also be capable of just powering a pair of bookshelf speakers, there’s a switch to disable the LF cutoff and go full frequency.

Got this subwoofer amp to bypass the amp component of my active subwoofer which died months ago due to a peak in voltage. My amp was those that work in "stand-by" mode, so they are always powered up somehow. Replacing the board with a new one (original) was too expensive, even more expensive than what the sub costed me in the first place, so in order to not throw the box and the woofer cone to the trash, I decided to just rewire things up in order to bypass the sub's integrated amp, so I got this GREAT little FOSI amp to power my "now passive" sub.Things worked great and my sub is now back to life, shining again. The M04 Fosi Amp is a great choice as it is POWERFUL, noiseless (at least to my ear), very small and does not generate any important heat. It comes with a power adapter, so you only need the cables to connect the input signal and the output signal to the passive subwoofer. I used the convenient "bare wire connection" to hook the modified sub to the speaker output of the Fosi Amp. Worked NICELY.Quality of the M04 Fosi AMP is VERY GOOD, in a very neat, compact and ellegant BLACK enclosure. It is definitely worth the money, which is NOT AT ALL expensive, but quality exceeds by far the amount paid for this amp.Until now, i'm really loving it.

I installed a surround sound (7.2) system when I renovated my family room. I need 1 each for my in-wall subs and then got 2 more to power 4 “shakers” that I installed on my couch. They’re awesome little amps. Clear sound, plenty of “oomph,” and don’t get too hot. They are perfect for my subs and shakers. I recommend.

It works well with a passive sub-woofer and with the cut-off frequency adjusted right it compliments the sound of the rest of the system (high-end speakers which just lack deep bass).

I first hooked this little sub amp up to a 4 Ohm 10" single voice-coil car sub in a 0.85 cu ft. sealed enclosure. If I turned the M04's gain to near maximum and pushed the Fosi T3 tube-amp powering the main speakers (Klipsch SB-2's with 94 dB@1W efficiency) above 50%, you would get a decent filling out of the lowest octave, but no bass extravaganza. Next up was a 10" Orion with dual 4 Ohm voice coils wired in parallel in a ported box of about 2.2 cu. ft. Power was upgraded to a 24V, 5A AC/DC adapter. Then I only needed 2/3 gain on the M04 and about 40% volume on the Fosi to start vibrating the walls. It's a bit of overkill (the amplitude and the enclosure) for a small room. Next trial will be twin Kicker 6.5 F1s wired in parallel, with dual 10" passive radiators in a 1 cu ft. box. I think that should be the goldilocks combo. The max power rating in the published specs was obtained at 3 Ohms with a 6 Amp 24V power supply, but you won't get close to that with the stock PSU. If you have the means and especially if want to drive a big 8 Ohm sub of average sensitivity, I suggest going with the Fosi TP02 and a 32 or 36V PSU of at least 5 amps. The amp's gain and high freq. cut-off knobs are quiet and good quality. At $56 Cdn it is a solid 5 stars with a compatible low impedance or high sensitivity sub. At regular price that drops to 4+ stars, and is probably not really suitable for most 8 Ohm home subs of anything less than about 90dB@1 W sensitivity.

This is my second Fosi product to tune existing stereo systems. The last purchase was a preamp. This purchase is was an amp, but I am using it for a powered sub. I used RCA adapters and lowered the volume on both this and the sub to about half. This Fosi tuned my sub so I got a bit more pounding on my hardware floor. I also have very rude neighbours so I am glad I can drown them out with my setup when they are loud. Fosi, just makes it better.
