For such a cheap camera, I personally LOVE the quality of it. I love that I can use my internet or my data if I need to step outside for a moment. I use it as a baby monitor. It’s perfect.

Activation using a QR code works like a charm. There have been great improvements since the 720p version. Now Google Home app recognises the device as a camera and allows you to stream from it right away without any delays (there was a delay of up to 30 seconds with the old camera when the stream had to go through Geeni or SmartLife app and then to Google).For now (firmware 5.5.3, SmartLife 5.14.0) the only issue I see is being unable to add the camera to any routines like the existing one to activate motion detection, so I had to set an individual schedule for this one.

Good resolution and features for the price. I have several of these cameras around the house and haven't had any issues.Although not rated for outdoors, I have one outside under a large soffit so it never gets wet. Camera has been online for 4 years with no issues. Our winters sometimes dip well below 0° and summers can exceed 100° , so I consider that great performance.

I have five of these set up at my home. Extremely pleased with them. Very easy to set up and the app is clean and simple. Works for my needs. I don’t use the night vision so can’t speak on that. Now, the reason for the 4 stars is I recently purchased a couple more and they have “upgraded” software on them for 2022 and look different on the app. Not as user friendly, layout is ugly, and seems to be a little glitchy. Like the old saying goes, if it isn’t broke-don’t fix it.

This little economical camera has been great. I originally wanted to be able to monitor doors, and this was cheaper than 2 door sensors. I have been pleasantly surprised by how useful the camera is. I never have trouble accessing the camera remotely and there are no cloud storage fees and no additional hub required. You just need an SD card. There was an update that fixed what I would consider a minor security issue where you could access a portal that would allow a reset of the camera if you were on the same network (no password needed). Now there aren't any open ports for this sort of thing so I'm happy with that update. If you remove the SD card and put it in a PC, you can't view the videos. The file sizes match up with what one might expect, but I couldn't play them with any video player I use (VLC etc.) as if they were secured and only view-able through the app. I like that feature for security, because if the SD card is taken there are not personal videos on it that anyone can see. Of course, if the entire camera were taken it wouldn't be hard to figure out how to do that. The included power cable is short, but it's just a micro USB so those are everywhere. The video quality is excellent and the night vision works well too. The talk feature is not very usable, but at this price the camera still deserves a 5. Motion and sound detection works well too and can be configured.
