I needed to modify a bathroom fan/light assembly to attach an upgraded cover with an led light. This allowed me to extend the shaft to accommodate the new cover.

Easy to cut to length required with a hacksaw - a file is needed to reshape the 'start' of the thread after cutting - one tip is to put a nut either side of the spot to be cut, then remove them over the cut ends, opening up the helix again.

I would love to be more excited about these, but they are threaded rod. The threads were clean and the items are all as expected.I am going to make a simple cheese press. Basically 2 boards roughly 12x12" on the flat with a rod in each corner to keep them together. You can either place weight on top to form your cheese in between the boards, or use the nuts to apply pressure on your mold.It is a very simple design and these are going to work perfect for me.Hardware stores offer 3 foot rods for a few dollars, and nuts are a dollar or 2 more. These are cut to size and shipped to your door. Convenience vs value is the only thing to decide.I am happy with my order!

The rods are perfectly straight, with no nasty burrs at the flanges.The thread is properly sized, and the provided nuts work well, too.Absolutely no issues.

Mine came without nuts.. The rod is good and I had M5 nuts, so the task was completed. I pointed out the lack of nuts to Amazon but messaging has become entangled with the supplier.. via Amazon.com and not Amazon.ca...

not much to say, its a threaded rod. Exactly as described, its stainless steel with a slightly magnetic attraction. Its straight without any bows and the threading is clean, even the cut ends are clean and will easily start nuts.the nuts it came with are not stainless steel though.
