This is a fabulous meditation chair. The wooden frame is a beautiful finish, deep brown. The wood is surprisingly lightweight, but then, this is just for resting against while you're sitting quite still. The seat has some cushion to it. Laying my assana over it makes it quite comfortable. I'm so happy to have this! It's beautiful to have sitting out, and makes meditation much more enjoyable. A simple, classic seat. Well worth the money!

It was hard to know what star rating to give this chair, so I'll try to explain why I only gave it three, while still liking the chair. It was really easy to assemble, which is good since it didn't come with any instructions. I watched the video provided here to make sure I was doing things properly, but I don't think instructions are really needed, especially since the six bolts were all the same size, for seat and backrest. I did have to tighten the bolts multiple times, though, because it seemed if I left them for hours, they would need tightening again later. The quality isn't great. The wood is surprisingly lightweight. The fabric is also not the best quality, and the back of the backrest and seat underside don't look finished since they're just covered with a black nonwoven "fabric" (like a reusable shopping bag), not hemmed, and attached with staples. The stapling was done so close to the edge of the black "fabric" on mine, that it's detaching. One day, if it lasts and gets lots of use, I would think about possibly covering the chair with a different fabric, so that doesn't bother me too much, but I wish they had made it look finished from the back of the backrest and underside of the seat, too. The chair would have to be disassembled to reupholster it (or done prior to assembly).Though it's nice that it came with them, the furniture plugs it came with are just loosely-fitting plastic. It came with furniture pads as well, but I didn't put them on since the chair is being used on carpet.Although it doesn't fold for storage, it's still pretty easy to stash it away somewhere due to it not having legs.I don't find the chair super comfortable, and would prefer that the positioning had a bit more of a recline to it. That being said, I do still like the chair. I just wish it had been made with higher quality parts and better finishing touches.

I like this chair, but I wanted it and expected it to be foldable, but it is not at all. I don’t know why they would put the word foldable in the name of the listing, it honestly seems like this was a bit of false advertising. I needed it to be foldable so I could take it out and put it away as needed but I’ve been robbed of that option. Overall, it was easy to assemble. Just a few pieces and you’re finished. It’s pretty nice quality too.

This is a nice little chair -- it is lightweight and the color is very neutral. It is perfect for my coffee table for those times I want to work at the table near my fireplace. The chair was easy to assemble and the color is very neutral. What made me take off a star is that the construction, at least the wood frame, is so lightweight that it's actually made out of a natural wood. It is way lighter than pine -- we're talking about balsa wood light. Also the coloring of the wood is a put off to me-- it reminds me of the frames you would find from the 1970s (IYKIK). I would have rather it was painted a solid color, such as espresso or black, instead of looking like it was attacked with a wood burner. For the price I'm on the fence... they all seem to be about the same price range, but I just question the long-term life of the piece.

I watched a documentary that talks about how some culture sits on the floor so that their elderly people end up with 30 squats every day just by sitting down and getting up from the floor. I thought that that'd be an interesting way to exercise ....without exercising. I was surprised how many times I got up and sat down while watching TV. Granted, I was going to get snacks. But at least now, I "exercise" before eating my snacks.
