These textured build plates work pretty well - first layer adhesion takes some fine tuning and messing with parameters depending on your filament but once dialed in they print great. Won't last forever, as these are more of a "wear item" than you'd think, but you can get dozens of prints out of them before having to trash the adhesive layer.

The plate is advertised as supporting PETG, but PETG absolutely will not stick at all. I tried PLA, and that prints okay. But not PETG.I have googled this and of course, I have tried various suggestions. Raising build plate temperature, washing vigorously with dish soap, cleaning with alcohol. The main suggestion I didn't try was glue stick since I don't have one and have never needed one before, and I anticipate that the glue would just clog the microscopic grooves. Also, I did verify that I can still print PETG to my other plates, so this is not a problem with the printer. It was suggested on forums to set the bed temperature higher. So I tried 70, 80, 90, 100, and 110. None of them helped. As the print head is passing by some filament it laid down previously, it gets picked up and sticks to the nozzle. Then it just turns into a huge glob that prevents any more filament from being printed. As I mentioned, PLA prints fine. But their claim you can print PETG is false advertising.

Works great, produces attractive surface finish. Initially I had some issue with adhesion, but I cleaned the surface again and it works great now. I do really like the two surface finishes.

GOOD:• Unique wave pattern holographic effect• Popular faux-carbon-fiber effect• Reasonable bed adhesion when properly cleaned before each use (dish soap and water, with some scrubbing)• Quality spring steel plate• Preassembled—unlike Bambu Lab's effects sheets. Ready to use as soon as you wash it.BAD:• Doesn't include ArUco code required for automatic build plate recognition on X1 series printers—not even as a sticker• Seems like every other effects plate has a carbon-fiber side nowUGLY• No instructions included. If you don't know how to use these plates, you're in for a potentially rough ride.Use the "Smooth PEI Plate" preset. If you have first-layer problems with the carbon-fiber side, try the "Textured PEI Plate" preset instead. If using with an X1 series printer, you'll either have to tell the printer to ignore the plate-type mismatch or configure your printer so it doesn't verify the build plate type (not recommended).
