We bought this to replace another Living World glass bottle that was getting stuck and depriving our hamster of water. THIS one has a steady drip that of course would be terrible in the cage. We could not use it even for a day. I'd like to return it entirely, and what a shame about the waste of plastic, metal etc.

I bought this because it said it doesn't drip. I have another brand that said no drip, but it drips a lot. This Hagen Living World Hamster Bottle really seems to be no drip. At first, when I put it on the cage, a drip accumulated and I thought, oh great. But, the drip didn't drip, it just hung there. Then, when my hamster went to drink from it, another drip did not accumulate and there was no dripping. I had this one a week to check it out before buying another one, since I have 2 hamsters. They even, for unknown reasons, seem to prefer drinking from this one than the other one.For those who can't seem to get their water bottle from dripping, I have a suggestion. I cut a sponge in 2 and put it under the bottle. My hamsters had no problem drinking with it there and did not chew it up. So that worked pretty well for me. Of course it's better if one can get a no drip bottle.
