Tips on how to prevent leaking:

We had been struggling to find a leak proof bottle until we ordered this one.It's cute and truly leak proof. you may be surprised at how much less your animals are "drinking" when you install this.The brackets are fixed, so you need a cross bar to hang.

It doesn't leak and it's easy for my rabbit to use, but I wish it had clips lower down. It bounces a bit when she drinks from it.

This bottle was so leak proof it was too difficult for my guinea pigs to get water from it. I switched the nosel with my old one so at least I could still use the bottle. Probably most suitable for a large strong rabbit lol

Easy to install on specific type of fencing. The plastic bottle hangs from the metal grid walls of bunny’s outdoor playpen just fine, but it does not fit on the thicker walls / bars of our indoor plastic playpen. To refill the bottle, take it off the fencing and unscrew the feeder tube end. No problems with that. However, the feeder tube itself is too wide for a small animal to drink from comfortably. It needs to be a thinner tube so it doesn’t fill their entire mouth. I have a full-grown dwarf rabbit, only 2-3 pounds, so he’s comparable in size to a guinea pig. He will drink from it, but only if there’s no other option, as my little experiment showed. He prefers to drink from a bowl of water. If not, from his older bottle, with a thin tube.

i like the fact that it's easy to hang back up after filling, and it pivots so you dont have to keep readjusting the nozzle until it's straight. it leaks a little bit once the water level gets low, but it's not too bad.

Have bought many of these ... it's hit and miss!! About every third one will leak ...but if you get a good one ... they are good !They are cheap enough ... buy 2 and you will likely get at least one good one .. who knows maybe 2 !
