My siblings and I all got these before a recent cruise. We may have been the most annoying people on the ship but they work, batter life was good, and easy to use!

These are great little walkie-talkies!I organize events and got like 15 of these in the past few months for my production team. They work within 4-6 mile range outside perfectly, and work even better in the large convention centers. Battery lives for 1,5 day of active use. Super easy to setup channels. The size is compact and they are very lightweight.Overall super happy with them.

I got these FRS radios for my kids to use. Since opening the box, they have used them extensively.-They are easy to use - simple menu system ( BUT YOU NEED TO READ THE MANUAL )-The easy pair feature helps to get all radios working with each other and it works perfectly-These radios can be used on 22 channelsChannels 1-7 & channels 15-22 will work at full power of 2 WattsChannels 8-14 can only be used at 0.5 Watts( the power cannot be changed - this a legal requirement which is hard coded into the radios )If you want to get maximum range:use one of the 2W channels and be sure that there are no physical obstructions between any two radios. From mountain peak to mountain peak two radios can read other very well. This was tested on channel 2 between Mount Royal on the island of Montreal to the lower Laurentians in the town of Blainville- the distance was approx. 23 km ( 15 miles ) and there was an excellent copy on both radios.

Love these things for camping. Great range. Perfect for backing up trailer and being guided back into the parking spot.

The battery life is not great and the range past 1 km is very weak. Tired using it on the cruise ship it failed.

These advertise 32km max range, they only worked for 2 blocks in the exact same test as the cheapest Baofeng walkie talkies I bought these Motorola's to upgrade from. The Baofeng's worked almost 5km away in the small town I live in, so when the Motorola's stopped working after just 2 blocks (same test area) I was EXTREMELY disappointed. Don't waste ur money on these pieces of crap. It sounds like a good deal when advertised as having a 32km max range for 70 bucks, but they don't work farther than 2 blocks in a small flat city area without any buildings taller than 3-4 floors (most are 1-2 floors). So I don't believe the max range advertised for one second. Don't waste ur money on these unless u like throwing money away.

These radios work well but you should understand what you are getting….FRS radios are limited to 2w signal strength. Claims of 30 to 50km range are nonsense, unless you were talking mountain top to mountain top. We use ours hiking, camping and skiing with the kids. In the city, unless you are in a park they are almost useless with a range of less than a km. Lakeside with someone on the water it might be 4 or 5km. Walking in a forest maybe 2km ( wild guess especially if the geography has lots of rocks, trees or dips). For skiing the range on big mountains was usually great, until it wasn’t. If one person went into a gully, over the top or around the side you lost them. It’s all about line of sight so if one person is at the top of a hill the range was generally good. Where we ski that could mean well over 2 km.
