As others have said the cables are short, but it does its job very well. We had a problem battery that is now very reliable again. Super happy with this purchase for the price point, it works great. Manual is a little lack lustre, but it’s one button operation and it does its own thing so really the manual isn’t needed. 4/5 for us just because of the short cables

Have been using it on my truck, bike and other gadgets. Left it out in the cold and snow overnight plugged and still works great. Very satisfied.

Charger works very well. I bought if for the repair mode function and found that it did make a difference in the batteries performance. The instructions are clear NOT to use the pulse repair mode when the battery is connected to the vehicle. I left a battery status monitor attached to the battery as it was charging in the pulse mode and it was short circuited .You could potentially cause some severe damage to your electronic boards on your vehicle if you dont follow the instructions.Money well spent.

I was out of town for about 7 weeks. Didn't occur to me that my car battery would drain so much. I have a portable battery jumper which helped but it wasn't enough to charge the battery back to its fullest capacity. I kept needing to recharge it every time....I went to auto zone and they offered to charge it for free but it would require you to take the battery out of the car which would be okay but I didn't have the tools or experience on how to do that. Out of curiousity, I decided to search on Amazon to see if a car battery charger would be affordable and when I saw this gadget and for the price, I was a little skeptical. However, it had good reviews, plus free returns, so I took a chance. I figured I had nothing to lose and esp since I had no way of going anywhere since my car was completely unreliable. It took a day to arrive and when it did, I charged it for a good 9 hours. I kept waiting for the "FUL" msg to come on but nothing was showing, which was why I kept charging it for that long. I finally started my car and with this gadget attached, that's when I saw "FUL". That's the only drawback about this item because it was supposed to show "FUL" when it is fully charged but it never did. Anyway, I am just so thankful the battery was charged fully and I have been driving the car again with no issue. I still keep the portable jumper in the car just in case but so far, no problem starting the car since I charged it with this thing. For the price, it worked and has saved my car.The good things about it:1. it is small but powerful enough2. easy to use, just clamp the cable clamps (follow instructions cuz you do the neg first then the positive)3. price is decent, less than $30!What could be better:1. the "ful' msg should have popped up per the manual but it never did. However, when I started my car and with this attached, I can see it said "ful" then.2. the electrical cord could be longer but maybe that's why it is compact. Just remember to use an extension cord with it when you plug it in.Overall, for the price, it is a great buy and I would recommend spending the money for that piece of mind (and for your car). So glad I took a chance and bought this!

Compré este cargador después de que mi batería relativamente nueva (1.5 años) se dañó, como estaba en garantía solo pagué una parte proporcional de una nueva, el técnico me comentó que como mi auto no tiene un uso diario (la mayor parte del tiempo esta parado en el Garage) la batería se descarga y va dañando las celdas y alguna puede entrar en corto y ya no funcionar al 100%, me recomendó que comprara un cargador como éste ya que aunque saque el auto y le dé unas cuantas vueltas para "cargar la Batería" esto no es suficiente y con el cargador recarga la batería a su máxima capacidad con seguridad y la mantiene como si el auto tuviera un uso diario (Pongo a cargar mi batería sin desconectarla aproximadamente cada 3 o 5 semanas y hasta el momento mantiene una carga apagado el auto de 12.8 Volts y después de cargarla sube hasta 13.5 volts indicándome que la bateria esta Full)

This charger is simple to use with good instructions, clear expectations and includes helpful troubleshooting for battery charging failures. The LCD display shows useful info (voltage, current, temperature) for safety and charging status, perfect for basic car owners like me. I got it for my beloved beater of a car that I only drive 2-4 times a month. The draw back for me is the short cables - both the battery clamps and power cord are not long enough. I have to keep the car hood propped up consistently (not recommended). Also, the allegator / clamp cable isn't long enough to extend out of the hood, even if I use a power cord extender.I really like the unit and tried to make it work, just didn't work for my set up. I still think it's a solid product for smaller vehicles like motorcycles, jet ski, etc ... closer wall outlets, or if you don't mind keeping the display module inside the hood and open to check? Overall, it's a nice product, it's just the short cable length.

Since I'm a bad news first kind of person, usually, let's get my complaints out of the way: Cables! Like others, I'm too of the opinion that they are a little on the short side. At first I didn't think this would be a big problem, but in order to charge the battery in my car (battery contacts at the back of the engine compartment), I have to set this on something in order to get them to reach. As my car is a hybrid (I want to charge the 12v not the high voltage battery btw). the under hood charge contacts are in a very odd location (as the battery is under the spare tyre in the trunk and cannot be charged from there unless the trunk is emptied, the tyre tossed, then a lot of wrenching is done to remove a bracket, only to find that there's even more plastic bits are removed). As such, the cables could have been a little longer, but it's not the end of the world. An extension cord covers the other end.With the griping out of the way, what i can say is that, if one Reads The Fine Manual, it works as described. I've recovered one problem battery with it, and I want to say the charge from this seems to work better than my other chargers. I'm currently trying to recover a hopeless AGM that was on my generator, strangely it may pull it off (really have no expectations on this one, more of an experiment, but the battery is coming up in volts).As for my other charging tests, it works great. The problem battery that I purchased it for is holding a charge now, it also keeps my hybrid's 12v topped up and my mower hasn't been happier. It works far better than my other charger and doesn't run the risk of boiling the battery dry (unlike my classic charger).As some points for others who have had issues, again if one RTFM, to trickle charge a battery one should use the motorcycle mode (this seems to want to charge a battery more than the car mode, and will cycle on and off as needed).Also for anyone wanting to skip the manual, don't use the repair mode while the battery is connected to whatever it powers as the pulse mode (assuming a frequency is included) may mess up the electronics. Always connect to the battery first, select the mode and then plug it into the 120v mains. If the battery doesn't have the power to light the unit up, the battery is likely too low and may not charge. If the charger does come on, let it run under car mode for a few minutes, disconnect the mains and then from the battery and try again. If the battery hold a little power, the unit should power up and then select desired mode and reconnect the mains.For the price this thing is great. It's smart, has a useful display, an internal fan to keep the working bits cool. It is capable of looking after itself and aside from the slightly short cables, I'm impressed.
