For the price it's the best seal that I've purchased thru Amazon. Every building hardware store in Bend was much higher in price or didn't carry the 1 inch thick wood stove seal. And it works great.

The 1in size corrected the leak problem. Used hi temperature silicone adhesive. Easy to apply. Great price. Just follow the instructions provided on the tube.

I had no experience replacing a gasket before but it’s “somewhat straightforward”.This gasket comes in dimensions exactly as advertised as a narrower diameter gasket inside of a larger one i.e. two layers.I completely overestimated the diameter of gasket needed for my stove. Since this one consists of two layers, I was able to remove the inner tube/gasket and use it alone (with an additional adhesive) to accomplish the task. Saved by the multi layered construction! As a wood stove gasket replacement non-expert/novice, I believe I got the job done correctly. Time will tell.
