OK. These are you bog standard 30 amp Chinese charge controllers. I love buying them in the 2 packs.Problem was I ordered between black Friday and Christmas, when Amazon Fulfillment centers act crazy. So apparently someone saw the order picture or invoice picture with the two controllers and a 2 on one of them and instead of sending the 4 I expected, sent 3.Now, the company quickly sent a refund for 1. So I will buy more.Just wish start up instructions for accessing menus and setting input ranges were printed in readable English. But, not even kn bad Chinese. Must go to a website to get that straight.I use a bunch because I run a 24volt roughly main system and drop to 12 volt in my rooms for the lights, charging phones etc, and these work better than buckboost units.

Aunque funcionan correctamente, no son demasiado eficientes si lo quieres para una instalación solar algo compleja. Si lo que quieres es alimentar una batería para que luego se encienda un faro es estupendo, pero para utilizar paneles que generen bastante voltaje es mejor comprar un MPPT

This is yet another clone of a popular PWM solar controller. All the basic functionality is there ans it works fine out of the box but it is simply not put together with longevity in mind..The circuit board has no waterproofing/conformal coat so if installed in an outdoor location, moisture in the environment will eventually get to it.. More importantly, the MOSFETs on the back of the circuit board really don't have any heat sinking.. There's a strip of thermal tape that is supposed to allow them to contact the back cover and dissipate heat, but the problem is that the contact is dodgy and the back cover is just a thin sheet of painted aluminum which wouldn't be enough heat sinking even if the MOSFETs did make good contact.. Without heat sinking, any high current episodes during charging or use could cause damage.. I would bet that most of the complaints about this controller failing after a while are due to either moisture ingress or heat damage..I fixed mine by opening it up and spraying silicone conformal coat all over the circuit board and components to deal with moisture ingress and then I got a big copper sheet to replace the back cover and better thermal compound to make sure the MOSFETs get adequate heat sinking.. These would have cost probably an extra $0.50 of manufacturing cost, but these guys are making things as cheaply as possible and cutting as many corners as possible..

Works perfect for my small 475 watt array and 8 battery bank. I am pushing it because I am over 75% of its rating on a clear day but my battery bank. Only once was the battery bank low and was taking a full draw from my panels. The charge controller was very warm as were the input wires from the array but it took it and continues to work.
