Nice. I expected a couple more coloured pages. Burlap pages will have to be glued around edges before they unwind much more. Quality thick white paper. I’m really going to have to plan how to best take advantage of the format given.

It is a lovely journal with various substrates. I have not tried it out yet, but look forward to start my new and exciting mixed media journal.

EXCELLENT quality. LOVE the binding to this journal, which permits dimensional layouts with ease. I've been using a Dylusions journal up til now; while I love it, I've been restricted to flat pages. An interesting challenge, but I'm happy to have the option of adding texture pastes, buttons, die-cuts, layers of fabric, etc etc again.The cotton rag watercolour pages are the most plentiful in this journal compared to the kraft, burlap, or linen. They're great, but quite different from the Strathmore, Canson, etc watercolour and mixed media papers I've been using to this point. The sizing in the watercolour pages in this journal makes for a sheen finish that I've tended to overwork as I try applying multi-step mixed media watercolour techniques onto it. Sprays have also bled through to the other side unexpectedly as I built up colour intensity, but I'm happy to gesso or paint over the bleed-throughs as needed. Will definitely be buying more in the future, but perhaps saving my watercolour experimentation and heavy spraying for other surfaces.
